Jimmy Reid needs our help.....Please read the whole post............

I purchased the DVD's; however, I am unable to understand much of anything Jimmy says as I am hearing impaired and the DVD's are not captioned. This is not a knock on Jimmy or his DVD's. From what I can tell, they are awesome and I DO recommend them! I have this problem often when I purchase DVD's that are likely not captioned. Some people I can understand okay and get by lipreading them. Others, I have to try and get what I can visually or find somebody willing to help me with what is being said. I wish Jimmy and I were on the same side of Florida as I would definitely be interested in meeting up with him. I'm at least glad I was able to help this great player out in such a time of need.

Regards,

Randy

Fast Shipping...

I'm on the road today to make the 150 mile round trip to see Jimmy at his home. He needs some help to relocate some tv sets. I'll post more when I get home. Jimmy thanks you for the purchase. Let us know by a post when you get them and see how your game improves.

I received the the dvd's probably within 3 to 5 days after ordering. Very fast! I was happy because I received them in time to preview them over the long holiday weekend.

They are jam packed with info. I am sure it will take a while for it all to sink in.

I've been interested lately in learning more about banks and the diamond system.

At a minimum, Jimmy's DVD provided me with a frame of reference for when I get into situations during match play.

I've already kicked to get out of a sticky situation. I might have done the same thing before except this time it wasn't hit and hope.

Also banked the 8 for the win whereas before I would have played safe.

 Glad to help out. I would highly recommend these to all.

I'm sure everyone would benefit from the knowledge contained in the dvd's. I'm lucky to be close enough to pick his brains at least once a week.

Got my 5-DVD package

Darth:

I recently received my 5-DVD package (i.e. the 3-DVD "Almost Everything I Know" set, the "No Time for Negative" DVD, and the "The Art of 8-Ball" DVD).

Still going through it, but from what I've seen thus far, some really *great* stuff! Jimmy's info on banking and kicking is definitely worth the price of admission.

Just wanted to post a comment from a satisfied customer!

Warmest regards to you (and Jimmy -- relay my thanks to him next time you see 'im, if you can),
-Sean

just ordered the set

I just ordered the set. Seems like a good way to help out Jimmy while helping out myself. I'm sure there is plenty I can learn on them and there are always things that I once knew and no longer use to be reminded of.

Jimmy wishing you the best,
Hu

Thanks Monica. It meant the world to Jimmy. Keep those thoughts and prayers coming. Tell all of your friends that the dvd's are worth their weight in gold.

I haven't read all the post (just the first one) so sorry if this is a repeat. I am a pool player that happens to be a pharmacist during the day (gotta pay the bills somehow ). See this kind of thing pretty often these days - here are a few things that might help.
Jimmy can go to www.provigil.com and apply for assistance in paying for the Provigil.
He could use Nuvigil which is the longer lasting isomer of Provigil (don't want to go to deep into medicinal chemisty - basically the same drug but works better). This is made by Cephalon which is the same company that makes Provigil. Go to www.nuvigil.com and you can get a coupon for 7 days free (you will still need an rx from the doc) or apply for the patient assistance on this med.
Don't know of any assistance programs with Evoxac - you can call them at 1-877-437-7763 and ask.
Some of these programs will give you a better price than your insurance will - it is worth a shot!
PM me with what Jimmy pays per month for his med and I will see if I can get a better price for him at my pharmacy - by the way his videos are awesome - HOPE I CAN HELP!!!

Can you still order....

the page says item expired, I cant figure out how to oder if you still can ....

New link was posted on first page.

Or...if you wish to help Jimmy out a bit more, buy the DVD's directly...thus giving him the ebay and paypal fees. That's the way I did it...sorry, lost the address & amount I sent...perhaps somebody could repost the info?

I just wanted to add - yes, Provigil is ridiculously expensive! I take it as well, and since there's no generic for it, it's costly. Come to think of it, there's is a generic form of it called Alertec, but I've only been able to get it from Canada.
That's a good idea, though. I try to get the 7 day samples any chance I get.

I forwarded all of this great info to Jimmy. Thanks for all the help.

Jimmy is headed back to the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida for another bout with the surgeons. Wish him luck and include him in your prayers.

I am making the long trip to Jimmy's house tomorrow (10/07/09). I will ask him if he would like to let me take a few photo's to post. Wish me luck.

Tell Jimmy that Keith says hi. We're both sending positive vibes his way. Jimmy likes being positive. In fact, he once told me that in order to succeed in pool, you must surround yourself with positive energy.

He sure is one of pool's brightest shining stars, heralded by all as a true legend. He does have the respect of the pool community, and Jimmy Reid is recognized and appreciated as a great player. He's one of the fortunate ones in this respect.

I hope he decides to make the trek to the DCC this year. I really do miss hearing that humor of his! :)
