This may be the nicest cue he ever made! A real beauty that he made for me about 15 years ago. All that white you see is ivory! The wood is a magnificent burl (and ebony) that he said was unique. This cue has hit fewer than 100 balls in its lifetime. Still in new condition. I have hesitated a long time to sell it and it has never been offered before. $1,500 is the only price I will consider for it, so please no low ball offers. It's one very special cue, maybe worth far more. There's only one like this in existence! jayhelfert@yahoo.com or (310)370-3994

A very rare and well made beauty of a cue! The best example of the work of a very talented man.

Nice Cue Jay.

Side ?: Didn't Joe use JP in the butt cap in earlier cues?

Thanks,

Jay P.

Compared to what I see on here for many thousands of dollars, this cue is a BARGAIN! Joe Porper is many things, including a very fine cue maker. He has been so successful with his myriad of pool tools that he has never focused on making cues, only turning out a few each year. In his words, this cue was representative of his finest work. Personally I would stack it up against any top cue maker today for fit, finish and quality! And it hits a ton too! For $1,500 it's a steal. That's the same price I paid for it 15 years ago. For a collector of fine cues, this is a treasure to add to your collection. The only other place I will show this cue is at a cue show and the price won't be 1,500. More like $2,500!

You don't see many Porper cues floating around. I bought one in 10 or
11 years ago that was a stone cold killer! Unfortunately I sold it and
wish I never did. Somebody is going to get a great hitting cue with
this one. Good luck with your sale Jay.

He did but switched to this logo when Jerry Pechauer complained they were too similar. Joe made some fine cues, this is no exception.

And before that, porper was engraved into the butt cap. I'll bump this, an important cuemaker to be sure; I mean Porper's stuff is on the cover of the hand of the masters calendar. Pretty clever guy in this industry. Good luck Jay.

Joe told me that if he ever made another cue like this the price would be at least $2,500. I'm raising the price to $1,750! Hurry up before the next price increase next week. :grinning-moose:

Thanks for the information TATE.

And Jay:

Good luck on this sale. Most people reduce the price, which means your an against the grain type of guy!
