Yah…tell that to the UFC where having him be a passionate supporter and commentator basically sped up the popularity of the industry by 30 years. They wouldn’t even be close to where they are without him.I think it's great that Rogen attended a pool event and commentated but his commentary won't draw anyone to pool.
He's a celebrity with deep pockets. If he wants to do something for pool, let him produce an event the way Manny Pacquiao and, just as Manny did, help to promote it.

I thought Jim Wych acted a little stand offish. It was like he didnt want to be out ranked by someone more popular.
He made it clear he wasnt going to be too impressed.
His last comment to Joe was "Thanks for gracing us with your presence!" lol
Link? I'd like to listen to it.Joe Rogan was in the booth with Jim dpi my commentary on the Gorst Grabe match.
He started out kinda nervous and was more like a podcast but didn’t do too bad in the end.
Kudos Joe
Guys like that get really smart with their money. Putting it into pool is not a great investment. If I hit the powerball, I'd play in more tournaments and buy some more cues, but that's about all that would go into this game.I was always wondering why some of the really well off people that liked pool did not just donate money to help promote it or sponsor tournaments. For some of them a full year of funding a tour would be couch change money.

If it were me, I'd invest in youth (high school) leagues and tournaments. That's were the investment will pay off in the long run.Guys like that get really smart with their money. Did you watch it JAM? He had some nice things to say about Keith.Joe Rogan just happens to like pool. He likes it a lot. In fact, he's a fairly decent player in his own right. I think he just likes to get a pool high, much the way the rest of us enjoy pool. It's a part of his youth, and just like some of us, pool conjures up some fun times. Sure, he interviewed Fedor, but I truly think he did so because pool is something near and dear to his heart, and he doesn't want to lose it. I saw the interview, and he looked like he was having a blast.
Whether he wants to promote pool or not, I'm happy to just have him sitting in the stands with the rest of us and having fun. He's most definitely a member of the Tribal Nation of Pool. He's not obligated to promote pool, but if he wants to, that's great. It might piss off the pool purists, and I wouldn't mind that one bit.
Probably because he knew if he flubbed up the folks on AZB would be all over him……He started out kinda nervous
Yes, I did. Keith did too. Keith is going to make a video snippet about it and mention Joe.Did you watch it JAM? He had some nice things to say about Keith.
Yes, but UFC pay per view and TV coverage was drawing millions of viewers when Joe arrived. Yes, he helped it grow in a big way, and there's little doubt that he could do the same for pool if it already had millions of viewers. Unfortunately, a pool commentator's reach is very limited, and he/she is largely invisible to the mainstream sports fan. I admire Joe for what he's accomplished in life, but I wonder if anyone not already passionate about pool even knew that Joe commentated this past week.Yah…tell that to the UFC where having him be a passionate supporter and commentator basically sped up the popularity of the industry by 30 years. Having him advocate and commentate is all he needs to do to peek peoples interest.
Why would they donate money to pool?I was always wondering why some of the really well off people that liked pool did not just donate money to help promote it or sponsor tournaments. For some of them a full year of funding a tour would be couch change money.
Yeah I thought Jim thought Joe was out of his element when it comes to colorful commentary.I thought Jim Wych acted a little stand offish. It was like he didnt want to be out ranked by someone more popular.
