Joe Rogan V's Earl Strickland

Waddiya wanna do?

I think a significant part of the show could be making the game.
Some of my most enjoyable times around action have been the
negotiating.
There were periods at the Rack in Detroit when it felt like you
were on the set of Saturday Night Live.

Seems to me Joe could be a powerfull game-maker.
And the Pearl is gonna be no slouch himself.

Lengthy race in 9 ball, all in one night, alternate breaks, Joe gets the 6 and out, as well as ball in hand any time he comes to the table....

I will make sure that we work out the weight on camera and do the negotiation so all can see. However right now we are kinda dead as Joe has said he can't commit. Joe I am going to contact you somehow in a couple of months and see where we are at. Again, even now we would be scheduling for Feb or March so if you see a time frame let me know. Also I sent you a PM with another option for you.

Sounds like a great match. But if you guys even out the game with weight it's gonna be booooring. They gotta play even up. Joes spot should be that he is allowed to heckle earl when he shoots. Joe is a riot, so that should even things out. Otherwise, whats the point?

Somebody did mention to mic the players which is a great idea.

Maybe allow heckling from the chair ! Can't be up moving around but from the chair while the other guy is shooting.

I think this would add to the spectator experience.

Maybe worthy of being a reality show if it works out to be entertaining.
Might be a good boost for the sport, huh !

As some of you know a while back I was working on getting Rogan and Strickland together to play a challenge match. Well at that time Joe's wife was getting ready to have a baby and so we just could not get it together and I totally understand.
Joe told me he would do it and was in, obviously he would be getting some kind of weight and if we did a PPV we would make sure that bith guys got paid and that there was something in the middle to play for. I would also make sure that some of the proceeds went to a charity of the winners choice. The guys would be mic'ed up etc.

My problem is I have been trying to get a hold of Joe for a little while now and I have not been able to. So Joe if you are out there please shoot me a email to cantrillmark@yahoo.com

If this semi fun match up is something you would like to see please make a comment as it may bring Joe out of hiding :) Since he had his shot at Earl with his impression I think as long as Iput some $$ in the middleit could be entertaining. Mark,

I know Joe has no problem playing for a good cause. He is a sucsessful and busy guy, and doesn't need the money. This was supposed to benefit mainly for Charity. It seems like TOO many mentions of "Money in the Middle", "Both guys get paid", "Some proceeds go to charity".
Starting to sound just like a payback payday for Earl.
Give both guys a nice appearence fee and play for the winners charity..
Neither guy is going to want to lose. Money will only motivate Earl, not Joe.

Actually it never did start as a charity event. It started as a fun thing that would maybe be a good gambling match that would be fun for all.
As it progressed I decided maybe we should give some of the proceeds to charity. So when we decide to take this event and give a portion to charity please don't critisize how much we give. We will give when we really do not have to and to me thats enough.

It's great to see someone as well known as Joe be such a fan of the game. This match would be great. If it doesn't work out soon, maybe in the future. Looking at the videos, I was impressed with his game.
