Joe Rogan V's Earl Strickland

Break, ball in hand and the 4 ball I think is the right game for this.

I actually think beak + ball in hand may be the best spot (certainly for entertainment value).

The 4 ball is ridiculous though. lol

Or maybe Joe could inform us what ghost he can beat on a 9 footer on a consistent basis? Then we could better judge his ability.

Even better...Joe can use a jump cue...that'll get Mr. Strickland nice and riled up.

Sounds good to me. I saw Joe play on youtube.com. He's got a great stroke and can make the shots. He certainly is a lot better than me. Focus on the fun part of the match.

Actually, I take this back. Giving Joe ball in hand after the break would deny the viewer the pleasure of watching Earl run a rack. As JohnnyT suggested in the previous post, the breaks plus the last few balls may be better.

It would be an honor to play Earl in any capacity, I'm a huge fan.
I'm just way too busy to commit to anything these days, though. I played Thursday night for the first time in months. Between stand up, working for the UFC, doing my podcast and writing this book I've been working on I just don't have the time unfortunately.

Joe, you sound just like a pool player - "I never play, I'm out of stroke, I've got no chance, blah, blah, blah." We know you're just trying to match up the best game you can, and then all of a sudden, you'll have time to play. Good move Rogueman!

If there was any way this could be televised -- not livestream but televised -- I sincerely believe this little diddy would help elevate pool in these United States.

Joe Rogan is a celebrity who attracts the masses. Check out his forum. OMG, it's got more members than AzBilliards

Earl is a pool celebrity that attracts the diehard pool fan.

These two together just might be *the* change agent to bring pool to the next level, the exact same way that Chris Moneymaker did with poker.

It would be interesting to see a table in the middle of the Octagon

LOL! :grin-square: Yeah, I can hear it now.

Earl places Joe in a tight armbar, but Joe wiggles his way out and promptly gives Strickland a hammerfist.

The crowd is waiting for the tap. Earl is taking a beating. He manages to flip Joe over and attempts the rodeo mount. Well, Joe wasn't having none of that noise. The two players struggle, back and forth, back and forth.

Joe then elects to go for a heel hook. Strickland grimaces in pain, as Joe proceeds to a fierce ground and pound. The crowd jumps to their feet. Nowhere in pool history has this kind of action been seen.

And there's the bell. Will there be a Round 3? We'll leave it to the judges' scorecards.

Joe, thank you for the response. We would be doing this in a couple to three months anyway so if you think you will have time down the road lets see if we can set it up. As you know I have been trying to make this happen and it seems that all concerned will enjoys it along with the pool fans.

Can we get Ursetti and Cosell to do this , ala the great shootout !

Did somebody say "the orange crush"?

Not an expert on Joe's game but I would guess either the 5 and the breaks or the 6 out and the breaks. That's not a ton of wait for a player like Earl, so for Joe to win, he's gonna have to be able to play a little.

(Making a ball on the break will be the key for Joe.)

Who doesn't want to see both players breaking ?

Alternate the break and let Joe have the call 7 and the wild 8 !

I think Earl should wear a beekeeper's suit and Joe should wear waders...

No tiny jump cues, just Moochies, how strong is that?

Can't wait to see the game!
