The aiming balls from Aramith come with an instructional booklet that shows you how the method works and it break it down one shot at a time and the ball set also comes with 2 flat plastic aiming discs that allow you to practice away from the table, it helps you absorb the method faster.
The aiming workout (Workbook 2 DVds) that I sell is geared towards advance or very persistent players and it’s made up of many of pools most missable shots. These are shots that come up all the time in 9 ball that I believe players should become much more consistent at and I show you how to approach them. The workbook and 2 DVDs guide you thru the entire workout which is very demanding.
(I’ve gotten back some emails referring to me as something of a sadist) The workout has a method of scoring that calls for you to sink a certain amount of shots before moving on to the next group of shots (while recording your misses). The obvious idea of the workout is to reduce your misses each time you do it. The amount of time required to go thru the workout will vary between 2 ½ (very good player)--8 hrs(not so good but a very persistent player). I’m sad to report that it’s a little too much for most player but the reason I made it so tough is because I believe it’s things like this that can help players make a permanent jump up, especially for those players that have seemed to hit their peak.
The balls sell anywhere from $50 to I’ve heard $79!!! I sell them on my site for $55 and I sell the Workout for $30. I plan to put up a package deal for the 2 of them together for $75 with free shipping. (if anybody here on az wants that deal they can email me at
joetuckeraiming@yahoo.com and we’ll set that up)
If there anyone out there that hasn’t already contacted me privately about the scores they’ve been shooting. let’s see’em. I know there’s at least 1 player here that was already pretty good and he started off with about 175 misses and is now averaging between 60-80 misses, he’s done a fine job of updating me and he’s doing a really good job of steadily improving but I would like to see some more of you folks do the same. I can’t prove it but it seems most that have bought it don’t have the time, skill or persistence to stick it out. If you can fill in 2 sheets worth (12 workouts) in a months time you should be able to get it down.
All right I’m rambling (as usual) and I myself HAVE to practice today, I have a tournament at my sponsors room and if I don’t play this one I may be in a little bit of trouble. My next book is going to be titled“How to get ready for a tournament in 5 days, after a 6 month lay off”
