JoeyA

Thanks Brian, lol.

Seems like Cops has been outed. Not sure why he's all in a tizzy about our Joey, but regardless. ANYONE that does an anonymous vague slam like this is pretty weak. If he had an issue he believed worthy of going public on, he should be factual, non-emotional and objective. This is childish at best.

I agree. Good, strong post Roger. Everybody knows that JoeyA is top shelf and he's one of the most trustworthy men on these forums. His word is gold for a reason.

Just goes to show how far folks take the "don't mess with or knock my action" spiel to its extremes. "Oh my gosh! How *DARE* you knock my action with that drunken 80-year old man! Who the h*ll are you to pass judgment about what is and what is not ethical? What does ethics have to do with this anyway?"

Like this Cops guy thought he was going to touch people sympathetic to his cause? Oh wait, I shouldn't ask that -- because the answer is an obvious "yes" -- there are such low-caliber people walking the earth...

Looks like you called this one wrong.
Joey was just being the stand up guy he is. Seems Cops took offence to being outted and thought he could bring it here.:nono::smash:
Hey, would you let us know if it is possible to give him a red right after you have given him a green.;)

He's gotta post again, can't rep the same post twice. I apparently was wrong. For the record some 75 year old guys still play pretty good. I'm not saying he wasn't trying to steal he was better off not playing though.

Red Dawn sent...senseless post from some lurker trying to stir the pot. Senseless and poor judgement. Joey is one of the most stand up people in pool I've ever met.

Very good thing Joey did. The right thing I would say. Even if the older gentleman plays good his ability to make a good decision may have been impaired. I hope there is alot of us out there that would do the right thing, (not talking about knocking) so we don't have to raise money for the statue of JoeyA !:grin-square:

THANKS!! and:

Smorg wasn't funny

JimmyG, Mmikey and Shooting Arts aren't bright

Ldub and Barton aren't passionate and can be easily swayed from their convictions

Terry Ardeno isn't solid

Watchez makes dumb ass bets

Trigger isn't dynomite

etc., etc., etc.

i'm broke.:o

JoeyA is solid in my book.

For the record some 75 year old guys still play pretty good.

From what I read into it, Joey wasn't protecting him soley because he was 80 years old, but because he was a bit pie-eyed AND 80 years old. According to his post, that fellow does gamble some, he just wasn't in any kind of shape to avoid being taken advantage of.

I don't think age is the issue.

What do I know? :o

Other than the fact that I will take JoeyA's word on it, I mean. :p

3142. BIG-TIME GAMBLERS OF NEW ORLEANS.

Can you believe this? At least an ORCA KILLER WHALE attacks polar bears and other warm-blooded creatures capable of either defending themselves or at the very least fleeing.

I sympathize with JoeyA in the situation he describes, but this part about the orca is just plain wrong. Orcas prey on defenseless creatures whenever they can, just like the gambler JoeyA describes (as well as thugs mugging grandmothers, and pretty much every other predator in the natural world - see any documentary). As with hustler types, they only engage in tougher action when they're desperate.

In the case of orcas, they specifically seek out vulnerable sea lion pups during their first days learning to swim (so they can't get away) and before they understand the dangers of high tide. They don't just kill and eat them right away, either. They play with them, slamming them against the water and launching them high in the air with their tails. (The National Geographic narrator's voice in this clip is almost more disturbing than the footage.)

Polar Bears International specifically mentions orca whale predation on their myths and misconceptions page, saying it's "extremely unlikely" and they've never heard of it being observed.

Perhaps the analogy was inaccurate, but the intention was clear.

The situation reminds me of when Kanye West grabbed the mic out of Taylor Swift's hand at the MTV awards to question her award. I thought it was a great quote when someone said "it was like watching someone step on a puppy".

JoeyA doesn't stand around and watch someone step on a puppy and he's not afraid to tell it like he sees it (when necessary). My kind of guy.

This thread has turned out to be what my interpretation of "karma" is.

The message board that JoeyA posted that story on is very small and appears to be of interest to locals of the area. Because of this thread, people world wide know what a tool the guy is as opposed to just the locals. :rotflmao1:

I was thinking the same thing. Someone should call Joey - I would hate to see him miss this thread if it gets removed.

I left him a message if that helps.

This OP is definitely in the weird category.

I suspect he knows

Matter of fact being the seventh son of a seventh son I can practically near guarantee Joey knows about the thread!

I'm sure he is sitting and grinning. As has been pointed out, the offender has managed to make what was basically a note in the local parish paper get picked up by AP and UPI. Heck, we will probably be reading about this on the Drudge Report at any moment! :D :D :D

The whole thing is unfortunate but.............

WOW! I missed this post early this morning and then when I did notice it, I just thought I would let it run its course. I'm glad I did. Thanks for your support.

I guess I have my own personal stalker now.

It's likely that he will show up again in this forum and other forums, like most stalkers more often than not with a new alias, popping out from no where, going away for a while, then coming back periodically to attempt to "get back at me" for my expose. I had to do what I did because I would hope that if I were in need a friend would do the same for me.

It looks like Troy dropped a hint about where this all started and others picked up on it right away. I didn't mean to bring my dirty laundry to AZ Billiards. It isn't my way but I'm glad to have family like you.

For me, it ends here and now but I have much more "dirty laundry" if it has to be put out on a different clothes line.

Your AZB brother,
