What is up with this on the stream all week long...hes a good player but every game streamed...no wonder it says TBD..Lucky we got one Pinoy match...BS

When I looked at the available 8:30 matches, the best ones were Raj Hundal vs Max Eberle and Morra vs Yang. If it were me, I would much rather watch Morra and Yang than any of the other available matches.

You tell me what match would have been better players than that one? Why do people complain about everything? I just don't understand.

Given the number of times we have seen Yang on a real stream, I would like to see every second possible of him. He is one of the very best in the world. Seriously, who you gonna pick over him? I would say the same about Orcullo, Bustamante, SVB...If those three played back to back to back, and their opponent was John Morra every single time...I'm happy!!

(Incidentally, Morra is no slouch either)

One issue with playing the same player on the TV table over and over involves an easily overlooked advantage.... Due to the lights the TV table usually plays a whole hella lot different than the other tables in the tourney....

There have been many matches on the Accu-Stats TV table at the Open and Derby that were second fiddle to other matches going on but involved players who had been center stage in the last few matches.....

Just because you have a named player should not mean they get center stage "every" time.....

When the field shrinks the decisions make themselves.... If Morra keeps showing up before then....... Well someone needs to point out the advantage issue....

IF the TV table is not playing any different then I would say pick the best match up every time... I can't tell how much light they are throwing based on the matches I have watched so the table may not have different pitfalls than the others in the main room....

The lights over the table are fluorescent. They dont put out any heat. It always cracks me up to hear people say "The TV Table plays different because of the heat from the lights." You could stick your tongue on the grid of our lights. There probably is more heat on the feature table just not the temperature kind. Its the mental kind.

Accu-Stats uses lights that get hot and I have seen some ESPN set ups that did as well which is where the whole "The lights make the table play different" thing comes from. That just isnt the case with our set up. Go set a 2 bulb fluorescent shop light ten feet off the ground, stand under it, and tell me how much hotter it is.

Yang to my knowledge has never been in the US before. I havent ever seen him. So when he's on the one loss side playing a guy I know that has a strong following he is going to get picked. I get messages all the time "Dont show that SVB/Busty match we see them all the time...you need to show Willy Littlepeter vs Bobby Whoisthat. They are from my home town and it would be really cool to see them on the stream." Naturally were I to do that it would be a chat uprising similar in fury to the French Revolution.

Its a no win situation. Someone is always not going to like who gets picked to be on the stream. I just try to pick the most interesting match that will piss off the least amount of people. I mean this is the first "Whoever picks TAR matches sucks" thread that has been started and its already Thursday. To the OP look at it this way: It could be worse....you could of been kicked out of chat.

Justin you don't need to justify yourself. You do a great job, and showing Yang v Morra was a great choice, (obviously i'm biased, as i coach John).
People wanted to see Yang play so having him on the stream made perfect sense, keep up the good work, and hope to get in the booth with Jay sometime.

I looked at my email after the above response and saw I had a refund request from Mr. thug life. Evidently Mr.Life has a Tupac fetish as he informed me his name is "Makavelli"....anywho....in the second email sent six minutes after the refund demand he wrote " I will talk all about it on azbilliards.com....screw tbd and Morra playing 3 times."

I relate the above to make the following point to anyone who thinks coming here and starting a thread has any effect on me at all.....it will not. I am more than happy to explain why I do the things I do. If I am wrong or screw up I'll admit it and do my best to fix it. If i think the op is being a tard I'll make that clear as well.

This forum and its members are a major reason TAR was created and continues to survive. To think I am scared to come here and discuss some beef in public is just silly. The curse of an open forum is any idiot can air a beef no matter if it makes sense or not. The beauty of the forum is other people can answer and use common sense to determine the merit of a statement.

For some reason Mr. Life really seems to hate TBD. I usually post the match schedule on the website in the morning based on the ctsondemand brackets. If there are holes in the brackets without results or matches have yet to be played for a round I will post TBD because apparently unlike Tupac's number one fan I cant schedule a match in which the possible participants have not been determined yet. As the day moves forward we update on the stream and chat what matches are coming up after we have the info of who is till in the event.

Honestly if it were completely up to me I would never do another pool tournament again. It's too much work, too much trouble and quite frankly I am tired of listening to the bullshit. It is what is I guess. Just gets old

Stream starts today at 12:30 pm pacific with Bustamante vs Pagulayan. Rest of the day is TBD.

Justin you are a class act sir  Always PC and to the point. These ungrateful people should feel fortunate for your efforts.

Just to clear one thing up-In 2003 Yang Played at Mohegan Sun and The Big Apple Classic where he lost a great hill hill match to Efren- I seen it.

I can relate, it can get VERY frustrating at times. I've pretty much given up promoting tournaments for similar reasons. Too much work with too little reward and way too many complaints. I'm happy to see you and Andy do all the work and I can just sit down and rap.

Whether you realize it or not, you've done a great service to the pool industry by showing us so many great players. Yang is a legendary player who has rarely been seen here. He is just now getting back into playing tournaments and the fact that he came here is terrific imo. And by the way John Morra played the match of his life, superb from start to finish. He never gave Yang a chance to get un-tracked. Two years in Manila and a some good coaching from Lee Brett and he's a top flight player now.

It's been said before, Justin, and I'll say it again... Don't let the hatres get you down.

For every one knucklehead like Thug, there are hundreds of people who appreciate what you do. Probably more.

It's often said that less than 10% of the people make more than 90% of the noise...

Great set up. Great stream. Great deal.

I was really happy to see the matches I did see and really relished the opportunity to see Yang play.

This thing of holding guys hostage by threat of AZ exposure is for wimps.

Thanks

Kevin

Once when i was complaining to my boss about heat i was taking for no good reason, he said something like

"You cant control other people who want to be *****s- Look what they did to Jesus- Who was a better person than him? They nailed him to a cross!!"

PS- I am agnostic but i still got that.

Did a little snooping & came up with Thug's facebook profile.

Justin thanks for the good work but it would be nice if you could post the next streaming match at the top of the chat box (with bracket link) along with the post on the actionreport.com Otherwise I have to hop on the chat and ask, and may or may not get a response or the correct response.. You could also have it as a popup between racks along with the score. TBD is posted also. Seems like lots of people hop on the chat but didn't buy the stream. Being consistent on where you post could help you and your customer frustrations and could lead to more stream sales.
Thanks

i have the feeling one day you might snap and say f-it i'm done and we are going to lose TAR. and that will be a sad shitty day. please don't let the f*cktards get to you. there are many of us who appreciate what you are doing. if need be take these 3 simple steps, 1. take a good pull off a glass of johnny walker. 2. go outside find your self a puppy. 3. kick that biatch. (notated to add steps 2 and 3 can be changed to baby in place of puppy and punch in place of kick).

Justin, don't do anything different. You can't please everyone all the time, but I'd be willing to bet most folks were more than pleased with the decision to feature Yang as often as possible. I know I would be. Keep up the great work!

I find this poetic...... Thug Life

"he second email sent six minutes after the refund demand he wrote " I will talk all about it on azbilliards.com...."

Interesting how people think they have all kinds of entitlements. I have never watched a "TAR" match but I like the frankness and openness i've seen in this forum. I plan to patronize TAR it in the future.

I apologize to Justin and all AZ'er as I was a little intoxicated last night and let the moment get the best of me.

Good work and God speed
