Ok I bet someone tonight that Johnny Archer was 6 feet tall or taller.

Can anyone confirm or deny. Bet was $100.

Here's a picture of Johnny Archer, Keith McCready, and Buddy Hall.

I can confirm that Keith is 5'10".

As you can see in the picture, Johnny is more than 2 inches taller than Keith.

If you win this bet, I at least want a little jelly roll! :D

Thanks Jam. I am pretty confident, but I am going to need something a little more concrete than a picture in order to collect. The guy I bet said that he was at the Reno Open a few years ago and Archer got in the elevator in front of him. He said he was surprised at how small he was. I said Archer is over 6 feet and he said no way. I said bet. He said I'll bet you thousand bucks. Knowing he would not ever pay the 1000 I said make it 100 and we shook on it. I've been looking for some Archer Bio that lists his height that I can print and take down there next week. No luck yet, but I'll find it. Thanks again and rep to you.

I know Johnny Archer is at least 6-feet tall, if not more, but I am not sure if I can locate a bio of pool players. Height and weight, et cetera, is one thing they usually don't list for pool players.

Maybe you can e-mail Johnny at his website, and if you get a confirmation e-mail, this could be proof: http://www.johnnyarcher.net/index.html

This document is to serve as offical proof that Johnny Archer is 6'1" and 163lbs. I am not his private medical practitioner..but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn last night.:D

I agree with Varney. I say Johnny is 6'1" or maybe a hair taller. I'm 5'11" and change and have stood near him a few times.

I play out of Mr Cues and Johnny is at least a1" -2" taller than I am. :eek:
 
Johnny is slightly more than 6'1". His thin fram makes his body appear elongated, but he is the same height I am... just under 6'2". Not a side by side comparison, but I've been right by him numerous times at tournaments.
 
I didn't break out a tape measure when I met Johnny at Turning Stone, but I would have to agree with the others and say he is at least 6'
 
Johnny is about my height (I just saw him this month in Manila, and I've played him before.) I'm just under 6', 2".
 
i'm 6' 1.75" when i stand p straight, which isnt often and i'd bet he is just a bit taller than me.

Thanks AZers. I am very confident now. I may just print out this thread and take it down to the hall. Not much better evidence than this. Damn, I should have bet higher.
 
Played with and beside him in Raleigh many, many times. He is 6'2" and I am willing to bet more counting the hair.

Johnny is sooo handsome with his hairdo..=)) I also will bet my entire estate that he is 6' or taller standing upright....
My estate is worth about -114,000 bucks....=( notice the minus...:rolleyes:
