JTS Brown

Pick up an unopened bottle from the 70's last year at an estate sale drank it 2 months ago. Had a nice caramel flaver to it. No rocks no glass.

I bought a case and gave most of the bottles away to my pool playing buddies. I would not drink it on a dare. Sterno is probably healthier.

How many out there have actually drank some JTS Brown???

Kim

My brother-in-law bought me a bottle years ago as a joke/nod to my obsession with TCOM/pool and I still have it unopened. I might have a collectors item on my hands. Break out the potato salad. :D

I won 2 bottles ( in the convenient, half gallon size ) for a high run in my 14.1 league, at society billiards in NYC. I'm not a Bourbon or whiskey drinker, but I was very impressed on how smooth it is

Funny you should say that. About 2 months ago Turner Classics showed this movie from 1955 i think it was called " On the Bowery" It was about life on the Bowery in NY and the drunks and bums who inhabited it. They used the real guys from down there to film it and towards the end, they actually had 3 guys straining and drinking sterno. I always thought that was a myth, but i guess not, lol.

STERNO is deadly to drink. It is cooking/heating alcohol. Sadly hard up alkies would turn to it.
Hmmm bout to order a bottle :)
Booze in PA is purchased from "State Stores". I tried to buy 1 bottle but they did not stock JTS. I had to special order a case of 12. It ran about $9.00 a bottle total. Talk about Cheap Booze. The only time I will open a bottle up is if I drop it:killingme:

Lol ok ok. Reckon Ill just wait and hope to come across a freebie hehe. We used to drink Kentucky Beau. Nice little $5 hangover maker!

Ironically, (maybe just coincidentally), the night before last, Fast Eddie wanted me to try some upper shelf bourbon he had, a Woodford Reserve.

He poured me a neat tumbler and I nursed it for over an hour while we hit some balls. Now that stuff was smoooooooooth....

If your anywhere nearby to CT, there's more on the shelf and this weekend is their big Joss East tour stop. Gold Crowns all reclothed with green 860 two weeks ago, and ready for action.

Fast Eddie (Mr. Ed Locke) will hook you right up.
