A big shout out to everyone to watch the live stream this Friday (March 12) through Sunday (March 14) of this event being held at Rack's Billiards in Sanford, FL. This is Stop Two of the Eight Stop "Junior International Championship" tour being produced this year by Ra Hannah of On The Wire Creative Media. The first one was held in Roanoke, VA in January. Ra doesn't just talk a good game, he makes it happen! What this man is doing is great for the sport of Pool. He is giving young players a place to play and compete against their peers in real competition. We can watch it live for free at On The Wire Creative Media (Facebook) starting Friday morning (9 AM EST). I am supporting Ra in his efforts to develop home grown young talent and to continue to produce first class events like this one. We will be watching an enhanced stream using state of the art equipment. Ra does not do anything half way! Let's support Ra by tuning into his stream this weekend. Thank you

Yeah, bravo to Ra. This vehicle for young emerging players is an important addition to our game. Good luck to all the fine young players who will be competing.

Building a path to excellence for young players must remain a priority and, while the BEF is doing excellent work, emerging players need even more in their pursuit of excellence.

One of our area junior players who occasionally plays and practices here, 16 years old, played in the Roanoke tournament and is planning to play in all of these events. He got a lot late start and he’s only been playing for a few years but his game has absolutely skyrocketed in the past year. He has limitless potential, in my opinion.

His dad was a road player for many years who no longer competes due to physical issues, and is his son’s coach. His Dad is well-connected and is getting his son lessons, not just for technique, as he already has flawless fundamentals, but moreso for knowledge in games like one pocket and banks, from some of the most respected instructors of those games in the country.

This tour is an awesome opportunity for these young, talented players, from all over the country, to get to go up against each other. I’m curious to see how he performs in these events against players his own age, who are of similar skill level or better.

I watched the first one they did, very well done and some strong players.

I love watching Ra's streams and I hope I have plenty of time to watch this weekend. He is doing great things for pool and especially juniors.
 
When John Lewis ran the BCA programs, I also was involved in the BCA Jr. Nationals and Jr program.
During my time helping John run the events at Magoo's, where McMinn won in two yrs in a row, it was thee most fun I had at the BCA. Boy.....Many, Sweat matches hard in these events....Parents are a hoot :. These are fun/competitive to the max competitions, where testosterones might be in play. :) Hope all goes well, and have FUN.
 
Played last night. New 860 installed this week for the kids. Tables are tight and fast.

Day one. The kids are going strong.

Some absolutely amazing talent and a lot of heart in all of them!

I highly recommend that you tune into the stream if you can.

Watchin right now. I catch as many of the junior events as I can.. Great stream and Ra may be the best commentator around!
 
Agree, great stream, Ra.

One of our young local kids is up in about 20 minutes so I’m gonna head on over there.

She’s only been playing competitively for about a year but she’s hanging in there tough, even after a pretty good thrashing by Tatum Cutting in the second round.

I have to admit I don’t know too many of the juniors other than our local few. who are you following/interested in from up there?

I’ll keep an eye out for them tomorrow…

I believe it is a separate website called CueScore.com or Cuescores... Ra said because they are running 5 different tournaments all at once it would be beyond his abilities to keep up with the brackets at the same time. If you get to the website you will need to do a search for the Junior International Championship. It will then show all the info.
I did find it today I just do not recall exact details. It's been hectic here. Someone got hold of a credit card and there are charges all over the place. Shut down now but was used illegally for three days. Wonder if I will get cash back on those?? Lol
