Some how I ended up owning this cue now.
It sure is well made, I havent hit a ball with it yet, The shafts I have look new, I think they are not origonal, because when you screw the cue together there is a compression fit at he joint-like Balabushka, Black Boar and some Szam's. You can see wear on the wood when the cue has been taken apart and put together many times, on the shafts I have it isnt shiny or discolored like it is on my Boar and REALLY is on some Bushkas that have seen more use. The leather wrap on this cue is amazing, its Kangaroo and looks like Balabushka put it on, its hard to see the seam.
I never owned a Searing until now, i'm impressed, very impressed. I knew he makes great cues, I held this cue about 18months ago at the US Open, but I didnt do a deal on it back then. Funny how things come around again. I'm real excited to see how it plays, I put it together and its a bit heavy, it might be too much cue for me on Shitmonis cloth, God I wish we could go back to Stevens cloth, the nap cloth where you had to have a good stroke to move the CB, not this pitty-pat pool on billiard cloth used on pool tables.
I'll make a post on it later after I use this cue for a while, Its about as fancy as I like for a daily player, the cue I have used the past 2.5 years is way to fancy for me as a daily player, but it plays so good I doubt I'll ever stop using it. I do like to mix it up and switch cues for a week if I'm in a slump. This cue will be used for sure.
