Just ordered 100 "Encyclopedias"

The order just went in for the first 100 bonus soft-cover copies of The "Encyclopedia" of Pool Hustlers. Should receive them in about 10 days and I will send them out immediately to the pre-pub people. Thanks for your patience.

Still working on the final format for the book, (7.44 x 9.69, 8.5 x 11, 7 x 10, b &w or color, hard or soft cover) If I had a backer or a big bankroll, or an organization (this is a one-man company), this would all be so easy. The format that I am shooting for is a large size color edition. There are over 300 photos about 1/3 of them in color, so the large book, color experience is just so much better, IMO.

The book is still unavailable to any but the pre-pub 100. As I said, I havent determined the final format yet. I would like feedback from the pre-pub 100 first. I may have a few proofs available after the 100 get their books.

Getting this project through the process must have been tough. You must have learned a ton and I wish you much success!
Are the first 100 spoken for yet?

Great news! I think you've done well with your progress.

Dabbling a little bit in this arena myself, I can testify firsthand how difficult it is to make progress. It's like two steps forward, one step back, and then, as you say, there's the financial end of it.

Freddy, Can't wait to read it. IMHO, Large, hard cover, and in color, would be the ticket.

Can't wait!

Just remember that the image resolution may limit how large your figures can be, while still being clear.

You can go with a larger page size, but you might not be able to blow your pictures up to fill the extra space without them appearing pixelated and fuzzy.

Those are just some of the problems I am having to deal with.

I have number something or other.. not sure... but would vote for Hardcover and color if you are looking for votes...

Thats what I would prefer myself, but the cost of a large, color, hard cover is prohibitive unless I order 10,000 in front and pay for them up front. My soc sec check is $600 every month. i am working on getting an agent and a publisher to take care of that.

I may very well have the Martian version, but it takes place on this planet. Seriously if your book was not to be released yet, you may have a control problem. If you doubt I have a copy PM me and I'll send pictures from my cell phone.
