Just wasted $60

Damn If I should have asked here I guess. I had All South come move my table over about 6" both width and length.

Had I known what to do I could have done that myself. All they done was lifted it up from the frame on one side then put them big ass furnature sliders under it. Then done the same on the other side.

Move it over and then set the level on it. to be sure it was still level. They took out two shims on one leg other than that it was fine. UGH....

O well. I guess by having them do it the warranty will not be voided since they measured where it was sitting when they installed it.

I just don't think it should have been a $60 charge they was here about 15 min and did not make a special trip they was already down here in the Dalton area.

You paid for their expertise. They knew how to do it and you didn't. I would say a $60 minimum charge to send a crew out is pretty fair. By the way, do you own furniture sliders or would you have to buy them? You still would have needed someone to help you as well. You couldn't have moved the table yourself, could you?

That is very, very cheap. Most mechanic wont come out for $60 just to look at a table...and they shouldn't. Johnnyt

It would have been $100 if they had made a trip here just to do mine but since they was in the area.. They work for the place I purchased the table from so there not freelance. I understand you pay for things you don't know how to do but I can assure you I won't pay for that again. When I asked the owners wife I was under the imression they had to jack the whole table up and move it like that. Not the way they done it. O well it's moved now I just have to take the light down and move it.

The furniture sliders Jay spoke of work well. One of the BAR in the Valley of the Sun keep their tables on em all the time, as they are always moving the table for Dancing and other stuff.

I have some of the smaller sliders I used when we moved but didn't think to use them since I thought the whole frame had to be jacked up the same time.

I'm not mad about it just sayin.. It's something I should have asked about first. If I had I would still have that $60. :D

You got it done for $60 bucks, you should be happy.. Not complaining IMHO.. You had a need, they provided a service at a VERY reasonable price. IMHO, you got the good end of the deal. I'd certainly not be complaining if it were me!

yup I had to move a table... called a mechanic, he told me use a car jack... jack the frame up a couple inches, put super sliders (from walmart, $10.00) under each side.. push it over, take sliders out... and buy him a beer next time I see him.

You also bought an insurance policy from a very respectable company. Mike Mansfield will stand behind any work that his crew performs. You picked the best in the area to do the work.

If you got 2 people to come to your house for $60, that is a bargain imo.

You have to understand that they need to make a living too.

You didn't know how to move your table so you hired someone that does. They came to your home and made it look so simple that you wished you wouldn't have called them and done the work yourself.

They made it look so easy because they are experts at what they do. Efren makes a rack of 9ball look easy to run, but every time I try it, it's so much harder.

$60 is a VERY reasonable price for something that went as smooth as a fifteen minute pool table move. No way would you have been able to do it in fifteen minutes without seeing it done the way they did it first.

Sounds reasonable to me. But I know the pain....I had a similar situation happen using a plumber to fix a toilet. They charged me like $100+ to fix it and all they did was install a $20 part. I learned and the next time the same thing happened to another toilet I fixed it myself! If you need to move your table again you now know how!

True. But considering I purchased the table from them (new) they just set it up in Feb. It would have been nice if they would have told me how to do it. JMO. Not to mention I returned a $250 accessory kit they delivered with the table that I did not purchase.

Why did the table need to be moved?
Who decided on the original placement?
Did they advise you on the original placement?
