Just Went Outside The Pool Hall To Hit The Pipe When . . . WTF

Must be little people that have all this sympathy for the little guy in this KRACK deal gone wrong. Is it that hard to find an honest dope dealer in NC ?

Hassling an innocent person for something prob completely frivolous LOL. DONT WANT Yall to get the wrong idea but im just saying. Im certain that has happened to just about everyone on here here at least once before. Sorry guys, I still am fuming about a small " incident that happened yesterday afternoon. :)

i wish i was suckered punched. i had a pool cue broken between my neck and occiput, it didnt hurt but everything started to tremble and I got a sense of nasty electrical shock down my arms before I fell to the ground. I got up pretty quick, and the ****ers ran away. booze and pool seldom mix well

They told me the same....

I think that may be in Greensboro, NC. When we went to a tournament at the "other" pool room in Greensboro at that time, which had just opened up under new ownership when we were there, the owners warned us to stay away from Coliseum Billiards because it had a reputation for roughnecks.

We went there anyway to check it out.

It was pretty spooky. Could feel the potential trouble.

marquis of queensbury

You should always fight using the rules laid out by the Marquis of Queensbury. Don't take advantage of the other person, fight fair.

1.To be a fair stand-up boxing match in a 24-foot ring, or as near that size as practicable.

2.No wrestling or hugging allowed.

3.The rounds to be of three minutes' duration, and one minute's time between rounds.

4.If either man falls through weakness or otherwise, he must get up unassisted, 10 seconds to be allowed him to do so, the other man meanwhile to return to his corner, and when the fallen man is on his legs the round is to be resumed and continued until the three minutes have expired. If one man fails to come to the scratch in the 10 seconds allowed, it shall be in the power of the referee to give his award in favour of the other man.

5.A man hanging on the ropes in a helpless state, with his toes off the ground, shall be considered down.

6.No seconds or any other person
to be allowed in the ring during the rounds.

7.Should the contest be stopped by any unavoidable interference, the referee to name the time and place as soon as possible for finishing the contest; so that the match must be won and lost, unless the backers of both men agree to draw the stakes.

8.The gloves to be fair-sized boxing gloves of the best quality and new.
9.Should a glove burst, or come off, it must be replaced to the referee's satisfaction.

10.A man on one knee is considered down and if struck is entitled to the stakes.

11.That no shoes or boots with spikes or springs be allowed.

12.The contest in all other respects to be governed by revised London Prize Ring Rules.

(PS: the rules above should only be adhered to if the opponent is under waist high to you.)

100% correct JAM. I was playing a golf tournament in Greensboro and my buddy pulled in to a Fatz to eat. He asked me why I had 9mm in my hand. Told him not to even stop for a light until we got out of there. Colesium area is a good place to die. If you want to play head to Gate City Billiards.

That's not even the worst part of Greensboro.
Yes to Gate City Billiards. Great place.

Cops?

If the cops showed up they probably would have shot both combatants and the camera man!

I'm just gesan but recently while filming their own show some kid had a paint gun and the cops got off 30 rounds before anyone figured that out. In the process their own camera man was shot and killed or so I'm told.

A pool buddy of mine is a great player and spent 10 years practicing martial arts. He's been in a dozen bar fights. So I asked him, how do you win a bar fight? "Get in the first punch. Odds are the first punch is also the last."

When he gets into a word exchange with a guy in a bar, he lightly puts out his arm at full reach towards the guy and backs up, to put himself out of punch range. Since he backed up it looks like a sign of respect to the other guy. But if the guy then gets into that punching range my buddy has to assume the guy could sucker punch him, therefore he takes the first punch himself.

Sounds logical but it's also why he's been in a dozen fights. He refuses to back down.

That's just asking for trouble. Any kind of bar or street fight is usually going to start with someone throwing a big power punch. I've had tremendous success waiting for the punch, ducking under and hitting a double leg takedown. Fact is, the majority of fights are going to end on the ground, so get it there as soon as possible with you on top. Of course, I have a Jui-Jitsu background. I put you on your back and choke you out or break your arm and the fight is over, threat neutralized. Also, I'm never going to break my hand that way.

Very true words here…In my experience, the aggressor usually gets his ass handed to him. I never throw (threw) the first punch.

I haven't been in a fight for quite a while. I'm actually proud of that. I've got too much to lose now and the rules have changed. Guns, lawsuits and nobody seems just to go toe to toe anymore. Usually a few buddies have to join in now. It was never was like that before. If two guys squared off, it was just between them.

I was a door guy (bouncer) at a strip club for a quite a while….been there, done that and I bought a t-shirt.

The guy got rocked in a very short period of time.
I can't imagine what would happen in 3-minutes in a ring.

The big guy would run out of gas in about 30 seconds, maybe less. At best, I don't think he has more than 3 or 4 of those swings in him.

He loses in a ring, with gloves.

The small guy looks to be carrying a knife. It could have ended really bad.
