im not sure that this is the case but i would still like to make sure. i have posted in a lot of threads and it seams that no one besides people i know personally will reply to my posts. i like this site and the people in it and i try not to offend anyone but if i have forgive me. i have learned alot from this site and try to contribute anything i might know about. please let me know. thanks everyone

Just wondering

I have a different but similar problem.......I call myself the thread killer, because as soon as I post in a thread it goes into oblivion most of the time.
 
lol i know what ya mean on the thread killer. and thank you neil i do realize that alot of my posts are for the streams i do but there are some others that it doesnt even seem like people see. maybe i do need the invisible man avatar lol. thanks for the replies guys
 
Thank god. I thought it was just me. I like to think of myself as not the thread killer but the thread closer.

Here ya go...a response! The posts above say it well...you never know if your post will be ignored, get favorable responses, or just tick people off.

But, you need to follow your own path...if others choose a different path? Screw 'em! :wink:

I certainly use to feel the same way, so I understand what you are saying. But, I would not let it bother me if I were you, I came to realize that so long as no one is making negative comments about my post in most cases they agree with me or they could understand my point view. With time and exposure ( becoming Better Known) that will all change, forums are nothing but clicks on a global scale. We all want to be part of the group, but the truth is it is better to stay an individual. Speak your mind, try and be helpful to others, always be honest in your words and actions and stay away from the little clicks and you will do great.

Don't worry about it. It's something everyone goes through and it's just a part of becoming a member of the tribe. Many of us here have known each other for years, maybe first from the Internet, and then somewhere along the way in person at an event. And of course it's easier to "talk" to someone you know. When you're the new kid, it's sometimes hard to break in, but if your posts have merit and perhaps if occasionally you pose a thought-provoking question or comment, interactions with the rest of the forum members will be almost automatic.
