Kamui tips vs Wizard tips

I have heard, once you go Kamui Black, you never go back.

I am going to try out the Wizard tip tonight on one of my cues...I will let you know what I think
 
I can not speak about the kamui tips, for I have never tried one yet. I here alot of people really like them. I have played with both wizard meds & wizard hards & they both play really really well.

Never tried Kamui, but Wizard is in top of my list. Will try a Kamui in a short while.
 
Good tips . . .

I like layered tips . . . IMO if you find a hardness you like, then they're all about the same.

I played with Moori Med for years and recently switched to the Wizard Med which bought from a guy here on AZ . . . they seem to be identical and the Wizard is 1/2 the price of a Moori . . . works for me.

I had a kamui med soft and loved it. I had a wizard and had it cut off and put a triangle on. Absolutely hated the wizard! It was so hard. I play with a 314 shaft and I like to feel the ball on my tip. The wizard felt like I was hitting the ball w/ a rock! I will probably go back to the kamui since it held its shape great and held chalk better than any tip I have played with and it felt so good!

you must have had a bad tip, because its been my experience that the wizards play a little soft. Even the hard tips are softer than most hard tips Ive tried. I used a wizard medium on one cue, and replaced it with a hard wizard on my OB 1 and it amplified the feel of impact. Just my opinion.
 
I shoot with the wizard M now. I am thrilled. It has a very hard "clack" type hit. I have shot with Triumph, LePro, Elkmaster and Triangle before. The Wizard hit is much more solid. I like that. It also "grips" the cue ball as well as any of the softer tips did. It is like it is very hard, but has a very soft surface texture and therefore grip. Anyways, there will be one on my second shaft ASAP.

if you are using the ms kamui, than you won't like the wizard. The wizard is a denser tip than the kamui.

That's the best thing about tip selection....it's all personal preference.

I can't stand the kamui tips, unless it is a hard. All the others feel "spongy" kinda like they are absorbing the "hit" of the cue
 
Wizzard Tips!

I bought some of the Wizzard hard tips and love them! I pressed it before I installed it and it has been great. I will say that I like a hard tip and some guys like something softer. Like the guy says your mileage may very.

I've tried pretty much every tip except for the kamui black and the Wizard M are my favorite. They play good from the start and don't get rock hard with time.
 
Let's take a little of the guess work out of it.

You can see why those that migrate from Snipers to a Moori M or Kamui M think their new tip is hard. I prefer the Kamui MS for this reason.

I disagree. I switched from a Moori Med to a Wizard Med in mid-tournament. It didn't go well. Not that I don't like the Wizard, it's just that the Wizard seemed to be a little softer (i.e., I was getting more english on the ball) than the Moori.

Oh, maybe that's why my Wizard Med appeared softer than my Moori Med....I was definitely getting more english with the Wizard (usually when I didn't want to, DUH!)
 
Is topic is great, Im wrestling with this right now...

My phenolic tip (click,clack) which I had been using broke (shaft broke) and Ive been forced to swich to another shaft... I have a melk-dud on my Z shaft... (pretty hard, some feedback)... then a sniper on my OB1... OMFG, too "spongy" zero feedback.. and I got installed a Tri-Master (triangle pressed/w/ milk) which was supossed to be the hardest of all of them... and still not enuff "click" feedback...
 
I've been playing with Moori Mediums for over 10 years. (I know it's not a wizard, but they are supposed to be very comparable). I just put on a Kamui hard, and have absolutely loved it. First day I had it, I placed second at the Clicks 10 ball tourney in Dallas. (was a low turn out, but there was some decent talent there) Played all day, and the tip looked like new.

Had no issues with control. I knew where my CB was going at all times. I was VERY impressed.

I picked up some extra Moori's in case I didn't like the Kamui, but I'm now sold on it.

That's just me though...
 
I went from a moori 3 to snipers and now a Wizard and I absolutely love the hit of the wizard. I feel I can control the cb better too and love that "clacking" sound when you put a good stroke on a shot. JMHO
