We just posted our Podcast interview with Keith McCready on the www.theactionreport.com

Big Nasty interviews Keith about how he got in the game, his best and worst moments in and around pool, his appearance in the Color of Money, and many other things. As a fan I can tell you it is awesome.

The interview is 50 minutes long, the majority of it is Keith and Nasty, but at the end JAM gets in on the action and tells BigNasty a little bit of how she and Keith met as well as some other interesting stories.

The Action Report would like to thank Keith and JAM for taking the time to give us this interview. They both are great people who love the game.

It is certainly an honor and a great privilege for Keith to be acknowledged in this manner by TheActionReport.com. We both enjoyed it very much! :)

AND I look forward to the next one in the near futher with another great player, Mr. Dave Matlock! Keep 'em coming.

Thanks again for allowing Keith to contribute to your readership!

When Keith is talking about back in the day and the expense of going to tournys : "I looked at it as being $2000 loser before I ever hit a ball. Travel, hotel, entry fees....and I had a pretty heavy bar tab back then"

LOL...priceless. Earthquake is the nuts.

#1 quote ever from Keith

"That'll get the COL's soldiers out of the hot days sun!!!"

though "They all got broke" is right up there.

Keith and JAM

I just finished listening to the interview with Keith McCready on TheActionReport.com and it is very entertaining. I enjoyed listening to Keith talk about some of his pool experiences from the good old days of pool. JAM's input at the end was interesting also.

Sounds DREAMY! I hope Joe's Grill is still there. I really like the whole gang up there in Albany! :p

BTW, please do let Ray know about the upcoming event, the Bar Table Kings, occurring on July 18-22 in Olathe, Kansas. The field is open to the first 32 players who get their $3,000 entry fees in, and I hear it's filling up.

I lost Hatch's phone number, but I sent him an e-mail. If you can get a hold of Dennis, I'm pretty sure he would be VERY INTERESTED in this bar table tournament. All monies collected from the entry fees will be awarded back to the players. There's no percentage of entry fees collected taken out, and the pool room owner, Dan Tull, is donating his facilities to host this fine extravaganza. This is truly right up Dennis Hatch's alley!

Click here http://www.TheActionReport.com to read all about it. I can think of quite a few Upstate New York players who may be interested in this, not to mention the horses in Ray's stable. ;)

Here's the phone number to call up and register at Shooters: 913-780-5740.

I believe he was talking about John Shupet better known as Omaha Johnny. I think Keith at that time was giving most players the 7 ball. I had the privelege of playing Johnny in Pierre, SD. We played for about 6 or 7 hours and he was about a ball better than me but the game was cheap and very enjoyable. It was the most pleasurable $20 at $5 a rack I ever lost. John was a fine player. I believe he won Miller Lite Nationals 9 ball a couple times in the early 80's with quite a few pros in it. Paid like 25K for first. I think Omaha Johnny was a better barboxer than big table player. Nice guy, I think he hurt his back and had to give up playing.

"Bye boys" he said when he walked in to the casting call for the movie,,,,does it get any better? They broke the mold when they made Keith.
