Kevin Varney.

Wow. I'm really not surprised at all....

Kevin, you're a thief and a hack cue assembler at best. Your business ethics suck and you should be banned.

This is the best damn post I have ever read anywhere on this site.

I'm actually amazed that Kevin is still a member here and that people still buy cues from him.

REALLY? YOU'RE SURPRISED?

PEOPLE WENT BACK TO BUYING CUES FROM MAKERS THAT THOUGHT THEY WERE TO GOOD TO SELL CUES IN THE US. WHAT WOULD STOP THEM FROM BUYING CUES FROM SOMEBODY THAT DOESN'T KEEP THEIR WORD?

I LOVE THIS PICTURE......

My nuts are numb. As for being a sucker, I own a Varney Cue, however
I did not buy it from Varney. I bought the butt ugly purple heart handle stained a crappy black one
that TWOFORPOOL had listed on AZB, but was too big of a nit to invest another 35 for a wrap and
another 20 to give it the weight it needed. (He did put on brand new kamui tips on both shafts)

So I did that and here is what it looks like now:

Now TWO FOR POOL is a friend of mine, so I got to hit with this previously butt ugly cue before committing to owning the damn thing.

And while Kevin Varney is a complete jackazz as a business man, he
does make a great hitting cue, and I would recommend anyone who
is looking for a low cost, great playing cue to buy a Varney Cue right
here on AZB. (gawd knows they're for sale here all the time)

JUST DON'T BUY IT FROM VARNEY.

Besides, with Mr. Varneys business principles, he could very well become
the next dead legend cuemaker, and then my little butt ugly converted to acceptable cue
will greatly appreciate as a collectable

Nit!! I give you a great deal on a Varney and you call me a nit! LOL Those Kamui II soft tips are 25.00 a piece installed. Best tips your cheap ass will ever have on a cue! Enjoy the Varney you NIT!!!!

I have had some dealing with Kevin and i have to say he did just what he said he would for me. I got my cue on time and it does play well but it is just not for me and it is for sale. I have only had this one deal with him so i have not one bad thing to say about the man. Sorry for all that do. Here is the cue he built for me and i will take what i have in it. $450 pluss shipping

After reading everything, I came to the conclusion that if you like the way a cuemaker's cue is made and hit but can't and don't trust to buy it from the cuemaker himself, that is a good enough reason to no own the cue at all and go look for something else.

I'd rather have a very trustworthy and good guy make my cue than anything else.

Good looking cue man!

as far as being the next "dead legend" cue maker i doubt it. That's not a knock on KV as a cue maker. there're just so many good cue makers that the odds are stacked against him.

The dead legend was sarcasm meaning that if he ultimately fvcks over
the wrong guy, he won't be on the planet anymore.

all right man i gotta ask. he gives you a good deal on a cue and then you call him a nit? What's up with that?

You just gotta know Bob (he's an accountant - enough said)
to love him, and have fun with him.

Good luck with your sale, but it may take a while!! You seem like a nice guy who is genuine, but you will come to realise that you are also caught in the Varney trap because you will never get what you paid for that cue. To those who bought the RARE Varneys, you know the ones, with Duc Lam or Prather forearms you got screwed twice as hard.

The name Varney is equated with reach around, and this how it should be. In the past all the paid Varney Supporters would have done everything within their power to get this thread pulled. That is why it has taken so long to expose Kevin for what he truely is. But now even his nit friends and supporters are silent, they are just like Rats jumping off a sinking ship and Kevin stands alone. I am very sorry it has taken more than two years to expose this guy's nature and his poor business ethics, but this is in great part do to other members who for personal gain defended his actions.

Kevin where ever you are do the right thing and pay the gentleman you screwed, then just fade away and find some else to haunt, because AZ billiards is wise to you and your not really welcome any more. Hey, I got it why not go find Eddie Wheat, you and Eddie can start the Varney - Wheat cue company, at least that way you will always have the support you need.

JIMO

I love it. Wheat/Varney, otherwise known as Wheaney (pronounced "weenie") Cues. "Play with a Wheaney, or get beat by one". Now THAT's a classic.

Danny is a great guy who likes to give me crap all the time. He has helped me alot on cues and their value during the last year so I gave him a good deal on a Varney. DANNY CAN STILL GETS 11-5 IN ONE HOLE (OR WAS IT 11-4?)!

With a spot like that, he may actually get beat by a Wheanie,
and his old one at that

Does that change the slogan to: Play with your wheanie,
or get beat by one ??
