Kevin Varney.

look up this word:

facetious

and then re-read my post above yours

I'm so lost right now, If you think my post is directed towards you, it is not.

Just to lighten things up, I saw a guy get a handjob at the pool hall today. No lie!

Good luck with your sale, but it may take a while!! You seem like a nice guy who is genuine, but you will come to realise that you are also caught in the Varney trap because you will never get what you paid for that cue. To those who bought the RARE Varneys, you know the ones, with Duc Lam or Prather forearms you got screwed twice as hard.

The name Varney is equated with reach around, and this how it should be. In the past all the paid Varney Supporters would have done everything within their power to get this thread pulled. That is why it has taken so long to expose Kevin for what he truely is. But now even his nit friends and supporters are silent, they are just like Rats jumping off a sinking ship and Kevin stands alone. I am very sorry it has taken more than two years to expose this guy's nature and his poor business ethics, but this is in great part do to other members who for personal gain defended his actions.

Kevin where ever you are do the right thing and pay the gentleman you screwed, then just fade away and find some else to haunt, because AZ billiards is wise to you and your not really welcome any more. Hey, I got it why not go find Eddie Wheat, you and Eddie can start the Varney - Wheat cue company, at least that way you will always have the support you need.

JIMO

Don't forget the Schmelke forearms, I saw one of his cues up one time that was an obvious old Schmelke forearm, so I questioned him about it because in an earlier thread he was bashing the quality of the Schmelke products. So 2 of his little bi*tch nut hangers both gave me negative rep, the funny thing is he himself admitted to me in PM that it was indeed a Schmelke and he gave me positive rep. lol

The KV supporters are a glaring omission of this thread. In the past people came out of the woodwork to defend him. Some long time members and others that appeared to be KV aliases. This time around, the best KV can get on his side is the rare occasion where someone speaks up and says "I got my cue on time as ordered. I guess I was one of the lucky ones, sorry so many have lost their money to him". Even those aren't supporters, they're just grateful they got lucky & dodged the KV bullet.

His ability to rob people of their hard earned money will eventually come to an end. Hopefully that end will be sooner rather than later.

Well I come out of the shadows from reading all of these post about the Varney Cue. I dont know why your transaction turned out the way it did, but I will say that I ordered my varney j/b cue a year and some change ago.. I sent in a money order for the full amount and lest than 2 months i had a beautiful cue at my door. And My opinion is my opinion and i ask that people respect it like i respect theirs... I think that a Varney Jump break cue is by far the best Jump break cue i have used. I have had several people here in Richmond even with my Varney having my full name and year it was made want to buy it from me. I have had several comments at Moose Lodge Tournamets of people saying how they love the look and performace of the cue. I hope that you and Kevin resolve the issue, untill the man give me a reason to personally dislike him, he is still in my okay book. I am sure we all have that friend who may not do the right thing , and your always making excuses for him, but you still call him your friend. Until mine breaks or gets stolen make mine a Varney and if such a horrible thing were to happen i would without hesitation send in my money again and wait for the cue to arrive. Jus my 2cents worth

I've never played with one of his cues nor seen one in person so I will not comment either way as to the playability of his cues. This is a discussion forum where people talk about their opinions so you won't get any grief from me for sharing yours.

I understand the people that had a good experience with KV feeling an obligation (so to speak) of sticking up for him since your transaction was smooth. One thing folks like yourself need to think about when it comes to KV and the others that didn't get their money or their cue. What makes you different than them?

As best as anyone can tell, there is no difference. You all ordered cues, sent the full payment upfront (which is not a normal practice amongst cue makers) and you were all given a time frame. The only difference is you got lucky and the other guy didn't. Knowing what you do now, do you not think it would be in your best interest to not send him the full payment for a new cue? With the numerous people on here that didn't get their cues or their money, are there no red flags waving in the back of your mind saying "maybe I shouldn't do this"?

If I had been one of the lucky ones and I loved my cue and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread, I wouldn't buy another cue from KV. I would buy one from someone else but I would not put my money in his pocket and my trust in his proven lying, stealing ways. If you buy another cue from KV, I wish you all the luck in the world of having the exact same experience you had the last time. If your luck runs out and you get burned like so many before you, you'll be hard pressed to find a sympathetic ear around here.

Your opinion is as good as any ones, and by the way I am glad things worked out for you. However, this thread has nothing to do with how well or even how bad his cues play, it was started by some one because they ordered and paid for a cue in 2007 and it has never arrived. The cues Kevin builds do not even take 6 months to assemble and ship and here is a gentleman no different than yourself who feels cheated. Now, this could have very easily been you, so in place of praising him for doing what he was suppose to in the first place, please have a little consideration for those who were not so fortunate.

Oh and by the way, this is not the first time this has happened, over the last two years it has happened to many Forum members, along with being threatened if they made any comments or attacked by the loyal Varney followers.

No disrespect intended, but buying another cue from Kevin Varney is like playing Russian Roulette, you just never know when there is going to be a bang.:)

Have a great night

That's GROSS!

The guy and gal obviously thought it was the right thing to do, not to ention it was literally like dead in the center of the pool hall.

You could have at least taken the guy into the bathroom first....

:D

I'm sort of adventurous LMAO, no the gal had her hands up this guy's shorts, I was just in totaly shock, I mean, she sure had a good "stroke" on her :D

I have to agree with you there, man it almost sounds like Child abuse, I mean the guy could have at least droped his kids off at the pool!!!!!;):D

:D:thumbup: I second that
