ah Scott you are a cuemaker So what's so special about that piece of wood? Is it bocote or mahogany?

It's a huge beautiful Maple.

I don't want to kill the tree but as a builder I can't help thinking about how much pretty wood it has.

Down here we have some cypress that appears twisted, seems to literally be twisted looking at one that is badly decayed, but I never thought anything about it. I went to see a man that builds porch swings and such out of sinker cypress, the stuff that has been underwater a hundred years or so, and he showed me some wood that came from one of those twisted trees. I've never thought of cypress as a pretty wood but this was as pretty of wood as I have ever seen, He had bought a section or two of log and when he cut into it he decided to have it planed and make tables and such, this log ain't to cut into strips!

The other pieces of the log were already gone when he went back and I wasn't able to score any but I cast eyes on every twisted tree I see now wondering . . . I don't wish them any ill but if ill should befall them I want to be there!

When my Wife was waiting for her new lungs it was hard thinking what had to happen for her to survive. Something bad had to happen to a healthy person.
