Killing the CB with draw only on a 2 rail shot

This shot came up in a ghost game today, and I had "discovered it" for myself from shooting variations of the shots in this thread a few weeks ago: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=461405

Anyway, I can't believe how much of a shorter angle I can get the CB with ONLY draw (no outside at all).

Its a difficult hit for me, but I think only because I have never played this shot before (I always have some outside on it). Do you guys play this shot a lot, or know it? Hard hit, very low, no side spin at all. CB kills off the rails, in both speed and angle.

Edit, if I shoot it with some spin, plus the draw, it ends up much further away from the next OB, and closer to where the CB started from.

think you actually added a touch of inside spin, which kills the speed off the rail. if you pause it or slow it down as you go through impact, you can see the cue veer toward the inside cb

That was nice, i had interesting shot come up this morning the six ball was in front of the corner pocket but about 5 inches away and the CB was below the side pocket on the same side but had a steep angle, but sore some reason i decided to use top left and the CB went two rails and landed perfectly for the seven at the same speed you're cue ball was going, i must of played that shots a million times but never thought to hit it like that.

I don't even know if i even explained the shot the right way, but the speed the CB went after you're shot reminded me of it.

The angle(s) can become flatter with more low-inside, perhaps keeping whitey within a diamond or two from the short rail.

Comes up all the time in 9ball. I learned it many moons ago from watching earl the pearl on old accu-stats tapes.

i think you had alittle inside english with the draw
i dont know how to slow motion the youtube to watch the spin on the cue ball as it heads to the object ball
also the fulllness of the hit will take speed off the cue ball
last since outside spin adds speed off the rails
you may be used to seeing the cue ball respond with outside english and not used to how a "deader" ball reacts

I’m gonna roll that in softly with right english for the five in the side.

It might have started with a little but it looks like it had running english by the time it hit the second cushion.
I went down and hit the shot about 10 times and got the same end cueball position as the op.
Med. Speed draw stroke.
He may have put a lil inside on it but its not needed to get the cueball there.

I'm fairly confident I hit it straight draw, no inside or outside. I worked on the shot for a good 20 minutes.

Here is the slow motion of the video from the first post. It is hard to tell, but it looks like the CB doesn't have side spin on its way to the OB, and once it comes off the first rail, it looks like its rolling at that point.

All this practicing and beating the ghost tells me that your on your Paul Neumann comeback!!!! You better not ask me for no weight papageorge!!!!! Especially since It was brought to my attention my fargorate is like 537

The draw def shortened the rebound angle.
I kill the cue ball allot for shots on fast cloth.
Someone actually pointed out and asked me why
I was constantly using low cue placement.
My answer was the table rolls funny and I used draw so
I could control the speed and angle without letting up on
my stroke.
