Kou vs Wu

Stan James odds on the finals match:

Wu - 1.40
Kuo - 2.75

Hmm, that's interesting!

Neck and neck. It's still up for grabs. Wu better dig in his heels and make Kuo know that he's there.

Amazing the high run is about 2 racks at this point with balls going in on every break. I might have a chance in this match.

I hope the winner pulls together two or three racks to win and not because one of the players chokes.

What a close match! What is this match worth? $40,000 or something like that? They're both digging in for it!

I'd imagine that each time they get up to the table, their hearts are pounding and the adrenalin is running high at this juncture.

Kuo 12 vs Wu 11

Kuo breaks and makes 3 and 8. CB nearly married to the 1. Runs for cover CB behind the 9 short bottom rail. Wu kicks and hits the 1.

Kuo only offered a thin cut to right side. Runs for cover instead and gets a safe.

Wu kicks hard. 1 is partially open near the 6.

Kuo eyes the hard 1 6 combo. Shoots and makes the 6 kicked by CB for bottom left. Draws the tough 1 to right side for a position off the 2. 2 to bottom right. 4 on the same packet. 5 bottom left. 7 top left and the 9 to go 1 up for the first time.

That's for sure. I wonder how far $75,000 goes in Taiwan as compared to the U.S., i.e., the average income per capita, what a house goes for, et cetera.

Isn't there some kind of bonus from the Taiwan government to any Taiwan player who wins it. I'm not sure if i heard right but i think its a heap of money.

Kuo 12 vs Wu 10

Kuo breaks and makes 3 and 8 with a shot on the 1. 1 top right. 2 bottom right. 4 top right. 5 bottom left. 6 top right. 7 right side and the 9 bottom right to go 2 up.

Kuo with a quick break and runout. He finally looks like he is playing championship pool.

Kuo 14 vs Wu 11

Kuo breaks and makes 8 and a decent 1 off the long right rail. 1 missed badly.

Wu has a thin 1 to bottom right. Wu fires away and CB hits the 4 to scratch left side and offers Kuo the ball in hand.

Kuo takes ball in hand for 2 left side. 3 bottom right. 4 bottom left. 5 off the rail bottom left. 6 tough cut to top left, but goes for cover instead CB off behind the 7 top table bringing the 6 bottom rail.

Wu kicks and leaves a makeable 6.

Kuo packets the 6 top right. 7 off the same packet. 9 straight in to bottom left. Kuo takes his time fires and sinks it for a 3 rack lead.

The tides are changing and going Kuo's way. Woe is Wu!

No one has strung more than two racks in a row, therefore Wu has to step up now. He will probably have two more chances at this rate and he can surely win 6 games in 2 or 3 innings, but momentum is definately on Kuo's side.

Kuo takes the lead for the first time after a long, super combination shot and run out
That was a rack and a half. Still, I think the level of play is a bit low for a WPC final

The tempo seems to be slowing down a bit, unlike the beginning of the match.
