Kvinbrwr R.I.P.

Kevin was in his 50's. He had spent a lot of his life hustling golf and went to Ohio State on a golf scholarship. (I always wanted to go golfing with him but wanted to sharpen up my game for him - this is why you can't put stuff off).

Kevin found ebay when ebay was great to find (not so much anymore). I met him after he got my attention by selling a $55,000 box cue Szamboti on ebay, a feat I still consider to be one of the King Kong monumental awesome sales in the history of cues. I didn't know it but he was a cue sales newbie at the time and buddied up with me to learn as much as he could about cues. It didn't take Kevin long because he soaked up knowledge like a sponge and became a very experienced cue seller who knew where to go to get information.

Kevin and I regularly played pool together and always were in touch about pool. He was one of the really fun characters in my life and never failed to make me laugh. He loved his partner,Dawn and they were a great team. He loved the beach, bicycle riding, golf, pool, was very knowledgeable about art, antiques, collectibles, with his specialty being flatware. He was one of the most professional and ethical people I know. He sold many cues for me over the years and was always 100% honest.

When I was banned from AZ, he started a candlelight vigil for me, which ensured my return and made me feel less awkward about coming back. He was always supportive in a non-loud manner.

Kevin, I'm going to miss you, my friend. You were one hell of a guy. You were cool, one person I will never forget.

this is real, isn't it - ?
i feel like i'm in a dream.
we & Lee Brett were all sitting around talking about him, in my living room last night @ 8pm.

It was always fun talking to Kevin, we talked many times, he loved to talk cues, especially Gina's.

He had some great stories, I learned a lot about Gina cues from Kevin, he loved to learn about Spain's.

Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed by all.

To Dawn, Kevin's extended family, the AZ community at large (especially Chris Tate) -- my deepest sympathies to you all. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Kevin a few years ago by his good friend Chris Tate. Kevin initially helped me sell a couple Balabushkas, and throughout the process Kevin was as forthright, honorable, and compassionate to my wife and me as one could be. He truly was a gem. His complete honesty and humor, in my opinion, were unmatched. Getting to know him more and having participated in subsequent cue adventures with him only served to repeatedy confirm Kevin was truly one of a kind.

Having just read minutes ago of his passing, I am beyond saddened. Simply devastating news. I spoke with Kevin this past Friday evening. We spoke of possibly getting together over the weekend to discuss another project.

Projects/deals, etc., will always come and go, but there will never be another Kevin Brewer. I grieve with you, one and all.

I really found this shocking, I guess it shows how everything can change in just a minute. I enjoyed his wit & love & knowledge of cues. RIP Kevin, condolences to the family

Godspeed, Kevin.

I've never met Kevin. I've never exchanged PM's or even posts on the forum. But, I do know what it feels like to lose a good friend and what people consider a good man. My thoughts and sympathies to all those that were close to Kevin.

RIP Kevin

Like everyone else, I am simply stunned by Kevin's sudden passing. This is huge loss for those closest to him to whom I extend my sincerest condolences.

I knew Kevin to be a knowledgeable and experienced contributor to this forum for whom I had great respect. I did more than one deal with Kevin and it was always with the utmost confidence. Whatever Kevin said was a100% accurate and honest with no puffery.

Life is crazy.
