Laminated tips

I play with Superpro. They are hard & play well. The hardness leaves no guessing of how well i'm hitting the ball. I use the feedback as a tool to judge speed & control. I used to play with Sumo but they went to crap, then became virtually unavailable. Now I just use Superpro.

If your just selling, Don't play here, unless you actually use one of them.
Good idea Bryan.
I play with snipers and aside from a moori these play just about as good as anything. They don't mushroom even when breaking with them. As far as spin goes, my stroke isn't nearly as good to tell which tip applies more action to the ball, but they apply enough for what I do....JMO

I can say my gluing process has room for improvement also. So far the tip is holding together, but barely seems to be doing so. It don't play bad. But I want my tips harder. I glued up some different leather with a different glue this week and will make a tip out of it in a few days.

Thanks, Results sound real familiar, so I won't bother trying to pry the type of glue out of Ya:D I did see some leather specific glues on one site I was looking at one time, and I think one glue still has some elasticity if i remember the description correctly. I may try those out sometime, If I find anything promising I'll pass It on.

Hi,
I have met several phillipino players in various tournaments. Many of them play with a blue diamond or an elkmaster tip.
What they do is they keep the tip press for about 2 to 3 days and than they put it on the cue.Press is like compress it.
I have same tip installed on my cue from phillipines and it plays awesome. They have rather soft hit but excellent action on the cue ball and they are extremely cheap.Anyone who likes medium soft to soft hit would love em.I have played with kamui medium tips and find the bit on the harder side.

I prefer the hit of the Sniper. Consistent quality and play.

I'm always looking for a new or better tip and pay a lot of attention to these threads about tips. It all starts at the contact point.
I'll keep trying any tip I can find. When something feels better I'll switch, until then every cue I build will have a Sniper glued to the front. Sometimes the customer insists on something else and I have to give them what they trust.
Sniper's hit the way I want my cues to play.

Everest..........all the way!!

I've been using Tiger's Everest tip, and I love it!!!!!!

I like hard tips and have always put Talisman hard on all the cues that I build. I believe they are the best playing tip on the market, bar none at any price but they have their drawback in that they delaminate more than most other laminated tips. That is a real problem as although I guarantee the tips I sometimes have people who drive over a 100 miles each way for a tip and that is both time consuming and expensive. I bought a box of the hard Wizards but soon decided that they were a little to hard and I was mis-cueing more than I liked. I then got a box of the med. and have installed them on some of my customers cues and they really liked them but I don't know if that's because they are much better than the hards or just because I discounted them. I, myself, have not tried a medium as of yet as I've been trying other tips and there are so many of them.

Dick

I should have stated that I quit using the Talisman hard as my standard tip on the cues that I build because of the delamination problem and for the last few months I have been using the Everest as my default tip on all of the cues that I build.

Mike, I have a Kamui on my cue right now but will probably go back to a Moori M. I also like the Talisman M.

Have always been partial to Le Pros. The cues that came with them, DP's and Meucci will always have them. Liked the Everest that came with the Predator. Recently bought a used OB1 shaft that has a Sniper on it, along with a spare tip. I shaped it once and thats all. Very impressed.
I bought a box of layered Shooters by Adam. Haven't got around to trying one, but they look like they are very well made.

If you like Lepros, buy the 15mm, they are more consistant.
