Thanks! I agree. Here's some case trivia... On the JEF Q cases Jay Flowers considered the riveted side the front of the case, meant to be carried in the right hand facing out. That way the name or whatever else was decorating it would be what showed off. The pockets were strictly utilitarian, and were carried facing in so they weren't the prominent feature of the case. Clean and sleek just looks better IMO.

My comment wasn't intended as an insult (please don't take it as one), but it was me thinking out load.
This may seem weird, but the 1st thing that I notice is your fit and finish, and how nice it looks.. I really like how you finished off the interior of the lid, the outside top cap of the lid, and the very bottom of the case. I appreciate your attention to detail, and how clean your work is..

I prefer the old Jay Flowers cases, so that's what I build. A very improved quality JEF Q Case. I can build other styles but for now, I like my current design. I am working on some sheridan patterns right now, and a Vegas themed case that will be carved an in full color. Just trying to keep a class look to it.

Lol... Hilarious... Always need to put ur spoon in the money pot...very sad how u always need try and get some credit for something somebody else has done... Make ur own thread bout lid compartments ... N there you can say how great n good you are ...

Maybe you should read the thread. Chuck already mentioned that we had been doing lid stuff for a long time so I showed him one I thought went along with what he did.
Unlike you some of us have no problem to acknowledge each other's contributions and innovations to the art of cue case making.

That's a pretty nifty lid John. Does the false padding Velcro in or something?

It is held in by 8 magnets, four on each side. When it is in it looks permanent.
