Lets persecute Dean and Leave Stan Alone

nothing personal, but details about locatuion are not up to you guys to negotiate

i can only play in dallas in the daytime for short sessions of race to 5 daily

i do not have the energy or stamina for long sets, but i can play $10,000 sets

I can't speak for Stan but, why does Stan have to drive?

I know Stan AND Dean well enough to know what spot would be needed but I will not say. I'll leave the $$$ and weight up to the players.

I'm just curious as to why it is automatically on Stan to make a trip.

I know for certain than Stan's schedule is always pretty full. Again, I'm not speaking for him, just curious is all?

Dean is a high roller....high rollers don’t drive to play pool players...
...pool players drive to play high rollers.

A high roller can change a pool player’s life style...
...a pool player can only entertain a high roller.

I’m a Canuck, first time I made a game with a high roller south of the border, he said he
would give me action ‘cause my Canadian money would be great for his kids to play
monopoly with.....

I understand and agree.

As far as you situation, I'm well aware!

Have a good day sir.

Get it on

Well, there it is. Deano has offered to put up 10 large and is asking for a spot that makes the battle on a level playing field.

Now, for those of you who said he has no chance, shuffle up some money and bring Stan to Dallas. I might even drive up to see it if Ray will not put it on the screen.

I think Jack will drive up from Temple for this match.

Come on Stan, come to Dallas. I know Dean's wife will not let him out after dark
or more than a few miles from his house, as he may not find his way back. There
are tons of players that can give you a line on how Dean plays. I can tell you from
personal experience that he is no lock artist. I've had a few doses of being in with
him. But as usual, I'm in Deano. get it on. Stan, just give us a chance to draw out.

Well aware of dean and his situation.

I'm also well aware of Stan's situation.

I agree with your post completly when it comes to about 90% of the pool players on earth and their financial situation.

However, Stan is IMO, in the 10% group and does not "need" or even "want" Dean's money. Stan has his own money and leads a very satisfactory lifestyle that most on here would LOVE to have.

I will refrain from further posting in this thread unless it's in response to the two people in question.

I respect both men and would rather keep their respect as well.

Dean’s posts are worth reading...very entertaining...and he’s played for lots.

:scratchhead: lots?....maybe that’s how he ended up in the real estate biz

Well said.

I must play in dallas in the daytime and short races due to health
I bought a Gold Crown 5 ,it is in the garage and I will have to get Danzinger toset it up with new rubber and cloth

it will not be a trick table, should not have any drift or crazy rails

It will be a Gold Crown and play like one

I can not get used to a diamond so I won't play on them

I would enjoy playing a few sets before I am unable to play anymore

There will be no sharking or gimmicks just a friendly couple of guys

One a great pool player and the other more of a gambler willing to make a match

Lately I have not been doing anything but playing really cheap pool hoping to get one
last chance to have some fun

Is Jack betting against me again?I wasn't sure from reading his post, but he does that about half the time.Nothing personal just so long as he doesn't bring Billy Stroud

Are you kidding me

BET AGAINST YOU, BET AGAINST YOU are you out of your mind. I don't think
Stan would send me cues to borrow and free Bob Dylan stuff. Now that hurts.
Surely you don't think that missing that putt that would have won us $10,000
or letting that pop-up go over your head that cost the ball game would be
something that I would let eat at me for YEARS AND YEARS AND YEARS
and drive me to be so low that I would bet against you.Unlike some people
I will always have your back.
jack

pop up?
that ball was tagged, last time i saw it it was going over the lights

and that putt was long and we had 500 to one odds on it
besides i only missed it by 15 feet

good to know you have my back,I hate to go down alone

i got one of those Carbon fibre shafts,i think i will be drawing the cue ball by this time next week

my best to Pam,we wish you two would come to Dallas

we could go to Ft worth eat at angelos and shop the gun show this week end

I ordered a Hornbeam shaft ,this Starkey carbon fibre and two Rundes that might be here
bt Saturday,
you might want to borrow them

I told the guys you would give a good report on the playability

Does having my back mean you are backing the game?

I might play better if I were not worried about losing

CTE just made the Mosconi cup Tyler Styer
What about the other systems that have been tried and true.

Example: Shane Van Boening with his shaft aiming and Alex Pagulayan with his feel system are some examples of systems that have won major titles.

Do you have anything to say about the systems they use?

This has become an aiming thread
Stan may be a great player, his aiming method may work

You keep leading it into that direction.

I don't even know what it is

Obviously. But ya keep on yappin' like you do to vilify it and Stan.

I am just sick of a pity party

Who cares?! Take two aspirin and get plenty of sleep.

From what I read everybody loves Stan

The same certainly can't be said of you.

Why does he want to act like valiant for truth and act like people are persecuting him

Why do you want to be the head persecutor? Don't you have anything better to do in life with your old age?

I never heard of him before

You have over 9,000 posts and I've never heard of you either. You sound like a legend in your own mind. SJD Syndrome. (rest his soul)

If anybody is picking on him I don't know or see who

Do you have any mirrors in the house? Look into one unless they're all cracked from you looking into them previously.

Just seems like a cry baby

I thought exactly the same thing about you when you started posting all of this drivel.

no offense, now if a few of you would like to blame me
take a shot

I hope I lived up to your expectations.

i won't whine or cry)

Yeah, we'll see.

Apparently Stan is quite the pool player

Yep! And you might have been also at one time in your life but now living in days of yore or la-la land.

I might need a big spot

Stan is one of the kindest, good hearted, straight shooting gentleman I've ever met and known.

I'm not, other than straight shooting. But maybe Stan thinks the same way I do. I wouldn't want to be in the same room with you let alone on a pool table trying to prove something that doesn't need proven with your chirping to get attention.
I'd touch money dusted with ricin before taking it from your hands.

And I'd rather go poisonous snake hunting in the Congo which would be the lesser of the two activities and more enjoyable.

Do you like the straight shooting?

That all having been said, there's probably something likable about you in real life. (maybe)

Nobody knows you, either, nor me for that matter.

Your reply is the type one comes to expect in today's world. A pistol's worth of sarcasm on your part would have been sufficient but no, you have to drop an A-bomb of vitriol mentioning ricin and poisonous snake hunting in the Congo.

Most of these type threads deteriorate when comments like yours sneak into the assemblage. We appreciate snide remarks, sarcasm that is well-placed, and a reply that politely skewers the addressee.

Stan and Dean are good and decent folks, they just disagree on aiming discussions. One wants to match up and the other does not want to be bothered about it.

Anyone can see by your post that you are a good friend of Stan but in my opinion(not that you really care) is, "You went too far, Sir". Lighten up a tad. We can all appreciate a sarcastic reply but this Forum could stand less vitriol.

I've experimented with Shane's shaft system. I don't really have enough info to form an educated opinion though. Shane sure seems to make it work real well.
Do you have a link with Alex describing his "feel" system? I'd love to take a look at it.

To tell the truth Deanoc has not attended sensitivity classes

This is rather understatement as you can really be quite rough around the edges often, on the other hand I enjoy your passion about pool in general. And the same goes about Stan, he loves what he does and takes a lot of pride about his work. Thats why I understand why he feels quite disheartened by some AZB folk. But I also understand your point of view regarding Stan you not knowing him or his work. You know what? I believe that if you two actually met in person you may become a good friends. But hey! If this ends up in another "Lou vs John"-kind of epic pool battle I am all for it
