I know Rick makes a great playing cue, so there are probably a lot of players using them that are not posting them for sale, or didn't buy them off Az.

I'd love to see what all is out there!!!

Do you still have your ebony beauty?

One of my favorite Howard's is the one I believe you have - wrapless ebony with BEM handle.

let's see pictures of that one again!!!!

I had one at one time, the ebony/ebony with blue veneers, and it was a great shooter!!!

Thanks,

Michael

I had this ^ cue or one exactly like it for a short time.

Here are a couple more. The only ones I have left are the top two cues, the rest were sold or traded. The top cue is a wrapless cocobolo that I had Rick make last year, I also had him make the snakewood 6 point cue and convert the Titlist. I actually traded the ebony 6 point cue and then it was sold several times before I got it back. It was Ricks personal playing cue for a few years and is identical to the cue George Breedlove has. I lost some pictures a while back on my computer or I could post a few more. I think I have owned about a dozen over the years, not including a Mace j/b here and there. The bottom cue is one by buddy Ken had, he also had the ivory jointed ebony on ebony with blue veneers that is/was for sale lately. Ill post some more pic's if I can find them.

Stay tuned I will post a neat wrapless Howard when It gets completed, hopefully in 6 months.

Very nice.

I hope to be posting a nice wrapless Howard in about a month! It will look like The Black Pearl, but it will be an ebony/ebony 6 pointer.

The other twist is that it will have Mason's Micarta ferrules cut down to 1/2" for even lower deflection than his normal 3/4" ones!

If it is not too late for some even lower deflection, tell him you want the .610 shafts instead of the .590 shafts. He has used the .590 standard now for some years but trust me the .610 shafts are only a little beefier but hit alot stiffer to me. He doesn't use the .610 shafts unless someone requests them, but they hit GREAT!! When I was talking to him about a month ago I told him I had a cue from 93 that he made and it seemed to have a more crisp hit. Anyway, the different taper was the difference, just an idea for you to try.

Howard

Rick's work is as good as any name out there, I would love to own one but I am satisfied with what I have for now. I was bangin balls around with one of his mace cue's and it played better than most playing cues I shot with. I think he me be way under rated as cue maker.
