Life is great!

Rude Dog

<---Dumb and Dumber
Well folks, my head has been spinning for the last 2 weeks and I haven't posted much and I'm going to tell you why. My wife was diagnosed with cancer while visiting with family in Utah. She is back home with me now and we have a long road ahead of us but she is strong and I'm positive she will get through this. Also, while she was away, my step-son's father filed for custody and drove to Utah and took our son away. We will be in court today to get him back. And, the least of my worries was getting permission to go to the U.S. Open, which I was granted yesterday. I have 17 days to get as much practice in that I can and I will be prepared when it's time to go. I was considering not going because of what is happening around me but my wife ORDERED me to go, LOL. She's the boss! So, there ya have it, I'm in, I'm going, and I'm representing AzBilliards at the U.S. Open. Peace!

Life's tests.

Your spirits are high considering the way life is testing you right now. Hearing your positive attitude confirms to me that AZBilliards couldn't have a better representative at the Open. So I'm happy the 'boss' is making you go.

My best wishes
JR

RD,
Sorry to hear the news, but good luck with the medical issues. They always make pool seem less important (which of course can be a good thing if you are ever tempted to get a little nervous during a match - just put things in perspective). Also good luck at the Open.

Hey Dog...pounding some ass in the US Open should be a piece of cake compared to all the rest. That's childsplay...kill. I wish the best for you and especially your wife.

My prayers are with your wife, my prayers are with you to win at the open.

Sometimes I think it's just a strange way that the "man upstairs" chooses to test our faith. Will keep you all in my prayers. Best of luck to you in the Open, I have to agree with CaptainJR that we couldn't have picked a better representative.

proud to know you

Dog thanks for the comforting words you left me about my Sis. Keep up the fight. Never give up as Jersey Red used to say. As you can see there are many AZ'ers who are behind you.

Rude Dog, sorry to hear about your wifes recent diagnosis, i'll say a prayer for her. I hope you kick some major ass in the Open, you deserve it.

Rude Dog I'm so sorry to hear about your wife and I will pray for her. I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) last October, I'm only 19 :(
Your wife will need you so be strong for her and make sure you guys stay postive. Oh and make sure you make the 'boss' proud at the Open.

God bless

RD I want to wish you the best of luck at the open. :)

You, your wife & son are in my prayers.

If there's anything I can do....

RD, Sorry to hear of the diagonsis. Our wishes and prayers for her recovery.

Shoot them straight in Chesapeake!!! We will see you there. Jerry

When it rains, it pours! Sorry that you're going through a hailstorm in life! The only good thing about that is that when the storm is over, the sun usually comes out. I hope it shines bright for you, your wife and your step son. It's nice to hear a stepfather expressing an interest in being a father to a child that is not of their making. Good for you!

I'm so glad you are going to the Open to represent AZ. I just hope you have a good time and that it will provide you a little respite from your personal hardships.

Keep the faith, stay strong, and have the tournament of your lifetime. My prayers are with your family.

Life has dealt you a tough hand to play, Rude Dog, and yet you sound very positive and collected. I wish I had your good attitude.

Here's wishing you and yours nothing but the best, and good luck to you in the Open.
