Was anyone surprized at the top-notch play that Lil John Macias exhibited in the Galveston One-Pocket Tournament?

He had some very impressive wins against some great players, including Ike Reynolds and a very impressive 3 to 0 win against Oscar Domingues.

He ended up in 4th place after facing a red hot Cliff Joyner in the Quarter Finals.

Don't know if he is still this way, but he used to be the cockiest guy on earth. It was quite amusing watching him work a pool room :wink:

I know him pretty well when he was just a kid. He never lacked in confidence and always had plenty of heart.

It's good to see him doing well.

No - there is a lot of action at The Break. He should go there first.

Lil john took morra for quite a bit a while ago, but he was getting weight. i'd like to see them match up even though. morra should take that down. he damn near won giving up the 9 and the last 2 playing 10ball. the reason i say this is, morra has heart too!

Watched Lil John play Freezer $500 a rack at the Cue Club in Vegas a couple of years ago. Was struck by his aire of confidence. Don't know if he's cocky or not. But impressive he was! OK, both of them were shooting lights out.

My impression of him was always that he was a good guy, a good gambler and easy to get along with. If he loses he pays off, and if he wins he collects without gloating. Now he is working on an oil rig and only playing pool part time. He has a family to take care of.

He's pumped up & playing good...I'm sure alot of people would like to catch him with that big bankroll since he has so much gamble..He is good for action when he's pumped up & he's been knocking off some good scores so his bankroll is big right now.
