Live Stream of Borana and OMGWTF this Saturday (MAY 15th)

Borana has a wide open table and ball-in-hand and chooses to play safe. WTF?

Borana not trying to finish the job. I don't understand.

I woke up and tuned in hoping to catch the archive. I'm suprised its still going on. The girls are clearly tired, and hesistant in their shotmaking. After the match, someone please buy these girls breakfast. They have put on a good show. My respect for both girls.

Enjoyed watching it until I hadda sleep. Borana jumped right out and never looked back. At the start everyone was betting on Melinda but she never looked like she was any threat to win this. I think it was assumed her gambling experience automatically put her a couple of balls ahead of Borana, but most of us had Borana's speed wrong. She should keep trying WPBA qualifiers.

It's funny how much more relaxed Melinda sounded, while Borana arrived late and looked nervous. But Borana had been playing her tournament matches and just came off a win. Maybe that helped.

I think for these two to have an enjoyable future match, they should arrange something that doesn't start so late and isn't played on a super tight table. Commentators suggested that table maybe gave Borana an edge as she's used to playing on procut Diamonds.

Thanks to all the commentators, it's too cool that pros like Thorsten and John Schmidt jumped in, as well as Megan Smith and some women from KOD.

Thanks to the guys who worked hard to put up the stream too. They put up with a lot of grousing but they get the job done and I got to see some top notch 8-ball in addition to the ladies playing 9b. Also some not-so-top notch 1p for big bucks.

All in all a great way to pass a saturday night.

Didn't this match start around midnight Vegas time? Did it really last over seven hours for 40 games of nine-ball? That would be an average of over 10 minutes per game, or about twice as long as most pro-level 9-ball games average. Were there any long breaks in the match?

Yes, you are right. It took a long time. By the end of the stream, the announcers were saying over and over that the shooters were taking too long between shots. And they were right.

That's what I was thinking too. I don't know if Borana was nervous or is just in the habit of quietly collecting herself before matches, but she came out of the gate strong and confident.
