I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Barton at a GSBT stop in Hickory, NC. This was before they made the tour an all amateur tour. We warmed up on the same table and talked cases, pool and other things in general. I had just purchased a Murnak case about 8 months previously, which he noticed right away, and we discussed that as well. I would have to say though, after meeting John and talking, I'm MUCH more inclined to purchase my next case from him, as much as I love my Murnak. It's always nice to be able to reference personal experience with someone on a face to face level. That, and he made a case for my friend and fellow AZB'er Muttley76 which came out beautiful. Deffinitely made a believer out of me.

My next case will have to be a John Barton case.

John simply provides educational value on cases and much much more and from time to time sometime entertainment value as well.

It appears from what most are saying is that www.JBcases.com has the best cases money can buy.

I sure like the looks of some of his cases and would like to see some of them up close and personal. I believe John may have some of the best leather artisans in the business.

That combined with his unswerving desire to build the best case possible puts him at the top of my list.

Hey Joey..I have a cue being made to honor a friend that died in Iraq during Desert Shield. When the cue gets somewhat near completion, I am going to get with John and have him make me a case for that particular cue. I am going to display it here at the VA Regional office to shwo our Vets thier sacrifice isnt going unnoticed

And by the way, your POW cue is awesome

JA

Mine too. John truly cares about his craft and that puts him in a unique group (more and more unique unfortunately). John may not always be "cool", but John IS always passionate. I have a simple J Flowers case from John and it is the nuts.

Thanks

Kevin

Get a NEW Liner for that CASE?

No, John sold all of them already. He said when he gets back home they will make more and I will get one then. If I have to pay for shipping in gonna bad mouth him as much as I can :grin-square:

Nah, id be happy to have one no matter. John is such a great guy.....and he makes a great product!

The Celtic Knot case is a GTF custom that I took back from Roy Mallot at IndyQ. I wasn't happy with it and decided to make him another one for general sale. Whoever is interested in it get with Roy at www.indyq.com and we will make one for you.

This one shown is not for sale and is going into my own collection.

To all the AZers in Oklahoma I am sorry I didn't get much chance to meet you. I didn't get a lot of time to go play pool so I didn't advertise much. I tried to do a King of OKC thing on the challenge forum but no one took me up on it so I guess they must have all been scared away from my killer reputation as a top notch pool player....:-)

As always I will offer up the Sterling-Fury booth for AZ get togethers in Valley Forge at the SuperBilliardsExpo in March.

Hope to meet more AZ peeps there!
