All,

Interested in finding one or two more BEM or Curly Maple cues. I have a couple now, and have a couple more on the way....and would like to see what else is out there with respect to plain jane / merry widow cues made from maple.

I'll already have ones from J. Rauenzahn, R. Howard (in a couple months), T. Scruggs (in a couple weeks), D. Searing (hopefully by the end of the year), R. Harris (if all works out well), Ernie Martinez (from the 3rd batch), and Wayne Holmes (this coming fall). One or two more would be nice, and interested in seeing what's available.

I know about KtownD's SW cue...and like it alot...but can't swing the pricetag for that one right now.

Anything else out there???

Thx,

Rat

How about a Woody

Hiya Rat,

I've got a very nice used Woodworth cue , radial brass pin, white phenolic joint with black phenolic ring, forearm is highly figured BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD forearm with a highly figured CURLY BEM handle, BRAZILIAN ROSEWOOD butt sleve with a white phenolic butt cap, cue weight 18.7oz or 18.5oz depending on which shaft, butt weight is 15.0 oz, shafts weight 3.7 oz and 3.5 oz, both shafts size 12.80mm ( one of the shafts has a slight variance ), the cue rolls straight, no weight bolt but one could be added.

You can see the pics here >>>

Hiya sir

thanks for the reply, but i'm looking for BEM forearm and sleeve cues.

Much appreciated, though.

Mark

you might try chad carter. He makes some nice cues, with some very very nice wood. I had one, sold it here on az last year. Chad's prices are pretty reasonable as well, and he may have one for sale.

i have a birdseye maple richard harris cue made in 2005. brand new never been chalked with veneered ringwork, not richards maple and ebony kinda standard ringwork, this is much nicer. cue has never been chalked, standard talisman tips with backer and matching set of joint protectors. i bought this from mike morris(dak21st) on here last year and it has never hit a ball. i do not know how to post pics but you can search dak21st posts and find the pics. i also bought a cocobola harris from him at the same time so finding the pics should be easy(they were listed together) call me at 704 418 0080 if interested. i'll be very fair on a brand new bluegrass and this cue seems to be exactly what you're looking for. jason

Cored highly figured BEM forearm. Same firm construction as higher dollar Ariels. Nice shafts and well balanced. Playability in the direction of SW for a fraction of the cost.

Thanks much for all the responses and PMs so far, ya'll.

I'm currently working towards a BlueGrass cue with another AZB'er.

I do like the Ariel Carmelli cues, and have thought about one a few different times.

Cubs - I remember that Carter cue you had. Looked real sharp, for sure.

As far as the 3 links provided here, I'm going to take a look right now! Thanks for stringing them together for me!

Keep 'em coming, ya'll. And thanks again!!

Hey Mark,

Below is a very interesting Maple on Maple cue we picked up from Darrin Hill. It is a very nice cue that plays very well, especially for $895.

Hiya Jamie,

Yep....unique looking cue, for sure.

I'm steering clear of points...with the exception of a couple I already have on order....so if you've got anything along the lines of PJ / Merry Widow cues in maple, hit me up.

Thanks again, sir!! Looking forward to seeing ya'll again next year at VF.

Mark... here is that thread i spoke of about the mottey cue..

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=57880

please read it carefully.. i am not endorsing this cue and do not know the seller.. just thought i would point it out as being for sale..

i just wanted to make sure i shown you everything about it and let you make your own decision..

also.. if you search the forum, you can find the real original seller of these cues and his descriptions.. i know i posted in a few of the threads.. so you may need to use my posts to find them..

Jack Madden shows an all bem cue that I think is a great looking cue.

Aahhh...think I'll steer clear of the Mottey. Too many questions remain unanswered.......

I'm working on a BEM BlueGrass cue now, so while I do like the one posted up on the boards for sale, I'll leave that one be (for the moment).

I've got a couple solid leads on nice PJ maple cues....and would like to see more.

Thanks ya'll.

Mark
