I'm in the Va. Beach area. I am looking for a very good and highly recommended instructor. I can travel as far as Charlotte N.C. or Baltimore Md. if need be. I would really like to find a person that I can work with regularly. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

I have links and contact info for many "pool schools" and well-known instructors here:

I also have a link at the bottom to the list of all BCA-certified instructors.

I'm sure you can find several good options close by.

Good luck,
Dave

Jeanette Lee was to open a place last year in Roanoke Rapids with instruction available. Don't know if if it opened. Its called Carolina Crossroads

Thanks Billiard Dave. I have met and watched pineapple give instruction. I don't feel he will be a good fit for me.

Steve Jennings in Charlotte, NC.

There is no particular area. I would like to start with my fundamentals and correct any serious flaws. Then try and improve my stroke and shotmaking/aiming while getting as much knowledge as possible. Which knowing myself I'm pretty much screwed on the knowledge part.

Im within your "driving distance" I can improve your game, and I wont charge you anything unless you see an improvement..:D

If you wanna come down to Charlotte you can get hooked up with lessons from Kelly Fisher

*edit* I believe Allison gives lessons around here as well

See when Scott Lee is going to be in your area. He travels quite a bit and you won't regret taking a lesson with him. Here is his web site:

If you are going to the Pool School in September, he is a good choice because his lesson will be very consistent with what you get in the pool school.

I just looked up Allison's website and she puts on something called Allison's Academy. Not sure what date it is or the cost, but it is in Charlotte, NC. Whenever I find out the rest I'll post it up here as I may go there.

Thanks RandyG. I'll look him up.

Give me a call. My cell is 980 253-0211. We can set up some one-on-one instruction. RandyG is coming to Charlotte in September and we will be doing a 3 day pool school Sept 25-27, so there are a couple of options for you.

Steve

Tom Simpson is great

Here is a link to hi website. He lives in Va and if you check with him i am sure he can do something for you and might even be in your area soon.

Wade Crane

I think Wade is still in that part the country about to open a little place but I know he is a top notch instructor.

Even longer from South Louisiana

In another post, it was mentioned that Wade Crane is opening a new room in Dalton, GA. That's a LOONG ways from Va. Beach!
