Thank you for the input Ken, I have heard some great things about Mace J/b cues. I have had original sledgehammers, 1st edition predators, older xbreakers and a petree. The petree was very nice. I am currently using a j and j which breaks well but I'd rather have something with a shaft size between12.8 and 13.10 at largest.Ken_4fun said:Years ago I bought a Gilbert J/B from Joe Salazar for $225, and you know Joe made a dollar or two. Anyway, I had this cue for a number of years.
It was a good break cue, I couldnt jump well with it but hell I can jump with a jump cue....(not LOL). Anyway again, the damned Gilbert played great and I occassionally played with it, but it was my break cue for years.
My friend wanted the cue and I traded it for a new Mace J/B and frankly it broke better but it didnt play as good as good as the Gilbert. In fairness, I had a Moori M on the Gilbert and the Mace still has orignal hard tip.
For those who like to break and play with one cue, I can recommend Gilbert. For break cue I recommend the Mace.
AND I DONT HAVE EITHER FOR SALE!!!
Good luck,
Ken
