It deeply saddens me to report that one of our fellow AZ'ers has died as a result of injuries sustained during a small plane crash near his home in Alexandria, LA. Chad Deramus (RolexKid) has completed several transactions with several AZ'ers, and I am not sure how to personally contact each of you to let you know. Chad was my best friend and probably the most straightforward and giving person I have ever known. He wore his emotions on his sleeve, and never met anyone who had a problem that didn't become his. He is survived by his beautiful wife Jenny who has herself been a model for me and my family. He was 29 years old and will be sadly missed by all who have met him.

He, his wife, father, mother, and their private pilot were heading home after a weekend trip to their cabin in Branson, Missouri when they encountered engine trouble. In an attempt to set the plane in a vacant field instead of on a highway, the pilot and Chad's father tried to bring the plane to a stop. The plane skidded through the field, coming to an abrupt halt in a stand of trees, and Chad was killed instantly. Everyone else in the plane was injured, but no injuries were life threatening. If anyone wishes to communicate to the family through me, I will try to return PM's, but will not be on a computer much over the next few days.

I would like you to know that my family will pray for you and there next of kin. One can't know how horrible that is until it happpens to one of us. We will pray for all of you involved. The bible says that ye who call unto the Lord, will be heard. He will never forsak you and his family. For that matter anyone. Thanx Aaron

My deepest sympathy to you as well as Chads family. What a tragic way to pass. I pray that he is now in a much better place.

Not quite sure what to write here.

I was very close to Chad. So much so both me and my wife, Michelle consider Chad and his wife, Jennie part of our family. They both felt the same.

We were introduced a few years ago via ebay of all places. He wanted to buy a cue from me and it took off from there....and I mean took off. A few weeks after emailing Chad back and forth, he sent me a cue as a present, a $1000 Jerry Olivier. He sent it because he believed in me (as a true friend). I was so taken back by the gesture. Chad was like that, he always saw the good in people, ask anyone around him. We routinely sent each other cues worth thousands of dollars each over the years, just for the sake of it. No money ever exchanging hands. It was always OUR collection together.

Most of you know I live in the UK. On three seperate occasions I put off coming to the U.S. to visit him because of work committments. Now look where we are......we never met face to face.....and yet it was like I had known him all my life. Chad had that effect on people. Warm, considerate to the point he would always put himself out to help others, a loving husband, a hard worker....I could go on.

Remember this, family is the most important element in a persons life, please cherish this short time you have together. Everything else pales into insignificance. Chad and me had a closeness only found within the family circle, we could talk about any subject matter. He was a religious man, I am not. We spent hours on the phone talking about that subject.

Chad, I loved you like a brother. My dear friend, I will miss you more than you will ever know. I hope you have peace and maybe one day, if you are right, we will indeed meet and shoot that game of 9 Ball we were supposed to have.

Wow. Chad assisted me with two deals; with cuenut and Si. He was a true gentleman and man of his word.

Scott, I am very saddened at your loss. Take care, buddy. My prayers go out to you and Chad's family.
