I saw another thread about a long lost cue, and someone looking to find it. That got me thinking about how cool it would be to start a thread about lost cues, and maybe by looking around the AZB world could help put them back in the hands of the owner some how.

So I'll start....My car was stolen in about 1993 from West Chester Pa. with my It's George 2x4 case (dark snake skin) inside was my Joss custom...red stained with the segmented points and a BUNCH of MOP inlays also had the straight "t" inlays between the 4 points. I'll try to find pics. My Meucci sneaky pete was also in the case. The car was found in Camden NJ. I bought this cue from Lester Smallowitz (sp)

obiously I'll pay a finders fee to get them back.

My long lost cue was my favorite cue of all time, a JOSS sneaky, that had JOSS inlayed in the forearm in big letters, Ive tried and tried I cant even find anything close, Did JOSS only make one?


The cue was last seen in Fayetville Arkansas

Here's one for you detectives!

Around 1964 at the Villa Park Bowl in Villa Park Illinois I bought a cue from John Abruzzo(sp) for $25. We would leave aour cues in the back room. Needless to say 3 days later it was gone. So if you see it send me a PM. :D Oh yea, I'm too old to recall what it looks like, so if you see something suspicious ask a lot of questions for me! :D :eek: :D It's time for another Coors!!

I often wondered where that yum-yum, pom-pom cheerleader got those neat tomato stakes.....it's starting to make sense:o
 
Jim Rempe sold me an Adams with which he had competed in the late 1970's. I paid just $75 for it, and I loved the cue. Sadly, it was stolen right out of my cue locker in the late 1990's.
 
Missing cue

I would love to get back my Dave Kikel <KQ> cue. It had an Ebony forearm with 3 ebony/holly veneer points. The butt had 3 inlayed sharks. Dave made it for me in the early 90s. I had to sell it to buy a car so I could work (so I could pay to play pool and get a cue made!). It was sold in the San Francisco Bay area.
 
In 1964 Pappy Winkler made me my first two piece cue. I picked out a one piece cue I liked and he cut it and put a brass joint in it. He charged me $5 for that cue, and I loved it. I won my first money playing with that cue and began going on road trips around Southwestern Ohio. To Xenia, Middletown, Springfield, Cincy and over to Richmond, IN.

In Richmond, they had a ring 9-Ball game that went all weekend long, $1 on the 5 and $2 on the 9. I beat that game for over $100 one day! The next day I was back bright and early for more. I left my cue on the table while I hit the restroom, before we began. There must have been 15 people sitting around. When I came back, it was gone and no one knew or saw anything. Un huh!

I have decided to offer a $5 reward for that cue, if it's not too late. Please help reunite me with my first cue. Lord knows I need it now more than ever.

Several years ago, we went to the Glass City Open in Toledo. After an evening match, we returned to our hotel room and retired for the night. The next morning, I asked Keith where his cue stick was because his case was empty. :(

We both were immediately in a panic. :eek:

We went downstairs to the ballroom where the tournament was held, and lo and behold, the cue stick was sitting right there where Keith left it. They had some all-night action in the ballroom after the tournament matches concluded, and nobody noticed Keith's cue stick sitting idle, thankfully.

Keith always makes mention of a Balabushka cue he bought from Buddy Hall for 500 bucks years ago. It had five shafts. He loved that cue. It was stolen from him.

A year or so later, he ran into an unnamed individual from Texas who had Keith's Balabushka cue. Keith asked him where he got it, and he said he bought it from somebody for a hefty sum. Keith's loss was that guy's gain. What a shame. The guy still owns it today, too.

Those tomatos needed no propping up. I remember watching those jumping cheers!! :eek: :eek:

Sneaky Pete, Break Jump Cue by Joe Ezell, BROWN FERRULE. BROWN JOINT.

Last seen at pool hall in EASTERN LOUISIANA around July 2001.

WILL PAY FOR THIEF'S CASTRATION.
