Does anyone know who has made the most money in Billiards? Either in the industry or as a player?

I'll go first:

I think perhaps Matt Braun (Billiards International) or Barry Hearn (Matchroom Sport) for their television productions.

What do you think?

As a player I would have to think Jeanette Lee. The other part of the question I have no clue. Johnnyt

Read an article years ago about how Mosconi averaged about 3k a month for his lifetime earnings.

Just goes to show it's hard to make a million as a player!

If you are using "billiards" in the general sense, then probably Stephen Hendry or Steve Davis. Hendry has won $300,000 for a single frame of snooker (actually 147,000 GBP), and I think he dominated snooker during the times of highest prizes. Davis has had a lot of endorsements.

Stephen Hendry has my vote. I believe he's on top of the all-time earnings list for snooker, and the payouts for any other cue sport can't compare.

as far as the most money made from pool.

John Moses Brunswick and his descendants have to make that list.

Without hard numbers it is just a guess... but Allan McCarty must have made seven figures many times over.

No question about it. The Tweeten Fiber Co. And they continue to make more money every year than any other pool related business. It ain't even close for second.

The Tweeten Fiber Co?

Through 2007 Hendry has won about $16,000,000. O'Sullivan has won about $10,000,000.

Master Chalk and Triangle Chalk. I've seen their factory in Chicago, and they make about a zillion pieces a day. Just an estimate. :)

Ha ha! Now I see the logo in my head~ Boy did I spaced a major or what! LOL. Thanks. I am so busted:)

Olhousen

I think there are many, But I say Olhusen billiard tables, I did a research on them and found that with the many tables they say they sell yearly they are in my book one of the top money makers in the billiard industry.

Funny! how all these companies make huge amounts of money in billiards , Yet they don`t spread that money around by promoting Pro Pool and The players that keep them in business! All they seem to do is give small potatos that is just barely keeping this industry alive. :(

Tweeten also manufacturers Elk Master, Triangle and Triumph tips, all good brands. And they make some of the best table spots (Master brand), hand talc and various other billiard accessories. To put it bluntly, they got it goin' on when it comes to pool.

Me!!!

As soon as I come up with the latest and greatest pool gizmo, the millions will come!!! I just know it. I can dream!!!
