After about 6 months of mental torment, I just sold my table to get a 7ft pro am! Going with the 7fter because I'm primarily a bar tourney guy! Gonna place the diamond order in the morn! I hated to spend over 4K on a table when I already have a nice table but........no turning back now!

Call Diamond and see if they have any decent used tables for sale. From time to time they do get them in off lease or whatever. You might end up with a like new table for less than a new table.

Some get used in a 3 day tournament and are sold after. They are not used tables. Definitely call Diamond. They'll range for delivery/install. Might include a rack and balls....see what is available.

You will not be sorry, good move.

Our community clubhouse bought 4 tables that came from a tournament. They were brand new but played on for 3 days. Can call them used....but used to me is older, from a pool room, storage, locker, garage, basement, whatever.
The tourney tables.... Cloth and rubber is perfect. Table has been moved 1 time not multiply times. Diamond would be the first call. "Manning" might have good offering. Contact and see what he has.

Not sure if they use any BB's at the derby - if they do you can get a "used" one from there. If nothing else after the SBE.

I know they have "specials" on things like ball cleaners during events, they might have them on tables too. Worth a shot to ask tomorrow

Btw, if you have room for a 9' its gonna greatly improve your play on a BB. Just get to league or tourney a bit earlier to adjust speed to the BB

Wish I knew how to post a pic - I have a great one to back you up lol

You could probably easily get a barely used one from the Derby or SBE, save a few bucks, and get it before you'd receive it from Diamond.

If you do decide to order I'd definitely recommend that you Contact Heath Manning to help you through the process. You will not find better customer service anywhere.

When I got mine last year the tournament used were only like 200 bucks cheaper than the brand new ones. They were discounted ALOT more years ago. Personally it was worth 200 more to me just to get it all brand new. Great move though I love mine, got the 7ft and love it!

I inquired about the tournament used, and was told the ones that will be at DCC will be coin operated, so I passed on that.

Still consider a 9ft if you have the room. To me, its just much more enjoyable to play on even if all you play on in league is the 7ft.

Can't wait for delivery of my 9ft pro-am.

Same here. I think for the 9' models, it was about a 400 savings. For me, I'd much rather pay full price, and get any color and style I like.

congrats, I got mine in 2016 from manning cues. Could not ask for better customer service. I only have two regrets in the purchase and neither of them were caused by Manning cues. My regrets in this purchase was due to the materials diamond uses on the 7 and 8 foot table is not the same as that on the 9 foot table. I was not aware of that at the time of purchase. Nor was I aware that the finish color of Rosewood and Cherry are the same. If I had it to do all over again I would still buy a diamond from heath but I would specify the table more clearly. I would ask for Artemis cushions specifically on the 7 foot table as I know they are faster and are warranted several times longer than the diamond black cushions. I would also specify all pocket dimensions as asking for pro-cut pockets leaves the side pockets larger than the corner. I would also want to be clear on the color prior to its arrival. If the table arrived without being as specified I would expect Diamond to make it right. I would not expect Diamond to have an attitude of oh well that is how we make them. Don't believe their website where it says they only use the finest materials on the planet that is simply a deception. Diamond Black cushions are only warrented for 7 years while Artemis are pure not extruded gum rubber warrented for 30 years.

Our clubhouse tables were the same price as new (I think more than new). We got hosed a bit as the person/buyer did not shop or know the prices. The only benefit we got was avoid waiting for a new table to be fabricated. I would buy new unless the table is in excellent condition or hard to resist price wise. New offers no issues and a warranty(maybe). New offers no surprises.

If you can wait until SBE you can get one for a great price, my friend bought a 7ft and a 9ft for her home last year. Think she got the 7ft for just under 3k with balls. It was new until the SBE so great deal.

Unless they changed from the last time I was at the SBE the tables were used when they brought them in. The cloths were loaded with chalk dust and my bridge hand turned blue from it during the mini warm up tournament.

I think that I would just spend the extra and get one fresh out of the box the way that I want it and then I would also know the history.

That's true, many of them were dusty from the whole time of play, but the earlier purchasers were able to buy some pretty good ones (like my friend)

Now that hard part begins the anticipation of its arrival for two or three months. I paid for nine the third week in january 2016 and recieved it first day of SBE April 14th.
