Nice to meet you Luther.

Other than building cues, I plan on trying my hand at building guitars one day.

I plan on calling them Luthier Blissett Guitars. I think it has a nice ring to it, don't you.

I plan on having my own sub forum too.

Stop trying to dominate this forum. Do you hear me Luther. Leave room for the other guys and even CJ everybody needs a little space.

Lets keep it pool related, Luther so chalk up and shoot.

The Luther Blisset Project sounds like some sort of horrid band, one with four guys who all have beards and acoustic guitars. Greatest hit: Blissin'

I don't care for water much, let alone being underneath it.
I get a little nervous if I can't see the shore. I'm a boots on the ground kind of guy.

The sandwiches are pretty good tho.

Hey, Blue. Did you ever take your girlfriend out to the lake to watch the submarine races?

Tramp Buddy. Born and raised Flat Lander. Hard to find any water on the prairies other than the odd farmers dug out.

But trust me, we had our own version of submarine races.

I forgot. I have a man made lake down the street from me now a days.

Too old for the races but Wifey and I will go to the park where the lake is and crack a bottle of Baileys on occasion.

I appreciate the gesture Luther, however, isn't this like a classic "double steer". :welcome:

It may or may not be. The only problem is right now I don't know what a double steer actually is (classic or otherwise).

Google has been no help (I've searched for "double steer" and "double steer idiom", without any helpful light thereby being shined on my question).

Anyway, whatever it is, I'm always utterly amazed and delighted when you quote and reply to me. I've seen you play pool in a way that few other people on the planet have ever been able to, and so you can say practically anything to me and I'm always just happy as a sandboy.

Sorry if that sounds rather sycophantic, but I really just want to be honest here.

Normally, I'm OK with any pool player named "Luther" but the part about "Christian witch-hunters" is more than a little off-putting. Are you done with that or is it still going on?
I believe it's currently off-season for witch-hunting.

there's not that many road players left

That's certainly a double steer....was this shot in Texas?

In "Road Player" terms a "Double Steer" is when you tell someone that one game is good, when you actually are "steering" them into your partner (in gambling scenarios).

I was making a joke about double steering to the "Luther forum"" (really wanting to steer them back to the ** Forum). :groucho:

My pool slang jokes aren't a big "hit" these days....there's not that many road players left. Anyway, I like to keep the memories alive, just a few more years anyway.

You two guys are embarrassing!!! One I'll give a pass to 'cause he's from Ohio :D, but YOU C.J., being from the great state of Texas ought to know better :(. A steer is a castorated male bovine and anyone can see from this picture that the "cow" on the left has never been such an animal!!!

Maniac (unless there's cross-dressing in the animal kingdom )

You're right, I think someone "triple steered me". :deadhorse:
