Making tight pocket tool

I saw pictures one where a user cut them into a flat shape that sat more like shims than like a wall. Looked great.

Helpful, i know.

Those things are brutal! LOL Touch any part of the rubber and the OB will not go into the pocket!

I have had these for many years now.
1. The quality is quite good, and the carrying pouch is a nice touch.
2. If your pocket is close to 5 inches, adding these will make them about as tight as a snooker pocket, in my experience. You'll be able to pocket balls along the rail if you shoot fairly slowly.
3. They are not perfect, because of the bare rubber, a ball being rejected will not act "natural". They will bounce out differently than a real pocket. I've had plans to add cloth to them, but decided not to, because I like them as tough as they are. If my plan was to play against people on these, I'd definitely do it.
4. On some pockets, they will not stay in the side pocket, but will suddenly shoot up into the air, lol. That only happens on some tables, and not every time. I guess it depends on how well the pocket facing has been done on the table and how careful you are with the setup.
5. The spring sticking up can get in the way sometimes. On shallow shelf tables I hear you can invert them, so the spring sticks down into the pocket. I prefer to have the facing of the practice pro flush to the rail, and not having it "inside the pocket", so I don't do this.
6. All in all, I think they are great. For a low price you get to play on an extremely tight table, and you can take them off at any time.
