From another source:

In Philadelphia, a 33-year-old man was perhaps partying a little too much at the Billy Blues Bar in Juniata Park.

Officer Jillian Russell, a police spokeswoman, said that the man got into an argument with three others over a game of pool, and that one of the men hit him with a billiard ball, bashing it into his head several times before fleeing. On his way out, the attacker looted his victim, taking $300 and a cellphone, Russell said.

When officers arrived at the bar, on Hunting Park Avenue near O Street, the victim refused medical treatment. Investigators were searching for the three men last night.

No

The bar lady no's who they are, that be my guess. Police need to show up their every evening til they tell who they are, with police their that will hurt their business, won't take owner long to give up the information. Also if it wasn't for the 2nd guy he really have gotten hurt.

It's fight or flight when a big dude is up in my face with a pool ball in hand... freeze is not a good option here and these guys had the flight option blocked.

The title of the thread could have had the words for Car, Tennis shoes, Small Change, or many other words. Pool is not the bad person in the story, it is the bad person in the story that committed the crime.

We just had a real Dirt Bag in Phoenix shoot two Priests During a Robbery of a Catholic Church. One of the Priests died, but the cops got the Dirt Bag. Now he will sits in jail, until he gets a fair trail in only God know how many years down the road.

Bunch of punks. Hope they catch one in the back someday soon.

Not sure if it's just me, but I really don't understand the whole "hustle" thing! If you're playing pool for money, you should be willing to accept the outcome no matter what. If the guy your playing is playing down, I think it's your job to read him! If you lose, pay! It's your choice to gamble! Nobody twisted your arm to play for money!!!!!

Have I gambled on pool games? Yes I have! Have I won? Yes I have! Have I lost? You better believe it! Have I been hustled? Yes I have! Who's fault was it for getting hustled? MINE!!!!! Because I let it happen! Nobody ever told me "you have to gamble"! It was always my choice! Just like it's always your choice:)

No where in any of the stories linked above was there any mention of a hustle or gamble involved. This might have been a straight up drunken type argument that escalated.

This hustle was a straight up gangsta robbery. One man at the door, one blocking the exit and one doing the deed. Sadly, they'll probably get away with it too.

I am shocked that someone got into a fight at a bar. Usually when there is a lot of alcohol involved, and you have one or more morons involved.....shit happens. :)
