* MANZINO * "EVOLUTION" ICCS "Peoples Choice" Best In Show

That is just insane... Bob is in a league of his own when it comes to functional art. Everyone else is playing for second.

I don't know how to describe a cue like this. This is art in the form of a pool cue and the only other cue maker close is Tony at BB. These 2 men are in a class by themselves.

WOW!! We want more pics.
I will be working on them tomorrow, and will have them added to the post. Been stuck at work, and just tried to everyone a look. The pictures really can't capture all the work. But, I'll do better..
Best,
Ken Kerner

Hey Ken, first time I've had a chance to see the pictures. The cue is beyond description. I'm very disappointed that I didn't make the show and see the cue in person. Congratulations on acquiring one of the top cues of alltime.

I may have to make a special trip to NY to have a few beers, hangout and hit some balls with this baby. :)

PS..........the "La Finestra" is still my favorite cue in the history of mankind. :)

Hey Jimmy,
You were missed at the show. It is always a pleasure having you there..
Thanks for all the nice words..
"La Finestra" has been the favorite cue I've ever owned, but if you get to see this in person, it would probably change your mind..
Best,

This cue is likely the best cue ever made. Period.

I had to look it over multiple times, and felt like I was still missing some side streets. I knew the city, but had not been everywhere!

Super design idea, super design layout, magnificent execution of a tough concept. The idea had real potential, Bob Manzino brought it home perfectly.

A genuine pleasure. And so much better in person that I think we need a 4-axis camera!!!!! Just to capture the cue properly!!!

Thanks Ken!

Will Prout

Hard to argue with Will.... but make that a 4th axis microscope!
I was standing there for 5 minutes just waching the cue revolve around its stand, soaking it in, when Ken came over and started pointing out details I hadn't even noticed yet.
Manzino actually engraved the veins in the leaves in this thing-talk about attention to detail!

Hey Will,
I hold your opinion in the highest regard, and do appreciate the nice words. I feel fortunite to own "Evolution" and honored to have participated in the design.
It is nice to see Bob Manzino's work recognized and appreciated the same way I do. Bob has pushed himself every year to stay on the cutting edge of funtional art. Just when I thought Bob was pushed to his limit with "La Finesta", and "Eden", this monster was created by him. I give up, I can't break him :)

I do have to tell everyone that the real star of this years ICCS show was Will Prout. This guy did endless work to make this years show a booming success.
The event was ran just as I expected from Will, PERFECT...
Another thanks goes out to Tom Watters for being a super wingman for all the work he did as well..
Lastly, Bob Price has to to mentioned for hosting an amazing party at his incredible house..
Everyone should experience the ICCS show.. The best cues in the world in one place, truely memorable..
Best,
Ken Kerner

I'm thinking that it may be in poor taste but I'm forced to ask out of morbid curiousity, what would a cue like this be worth to purchase? A ballpark figure would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I can understand the curiousity...
This is a one of a kind cue and wish not to label a price to it on line.
If this cue were to sell, it would be a private transaction, with direct contact with me. It would have a few zero's involved :)

Hey AZer's,
I replaced some pictures on the 1st page.. I hope these are a little better.. It's like mission impossible taking pictures..
I like the 4th axis camera idea..
The only way to appreciate this thing is to have it in your hands..
Thanks everyone for the super nice words..

Thanks Ken, I understand your desire for discretion but thought I'd ask the question that I'm sure many here were thinking.

The pictures do not do this cue justice! The fine engraving in the metals is fantastic though, hard to photograph. Great cue!
Hey Chris,
I did a little better with the post pictures, some of the intricate stuff can be seen.
Thanks for the nice words...

Bob has seen everyones posts, and really appreciates your comments...

Best,
Ken Kerner

Nice Ken...congrats.
Just doing the dot inlays on the rings alone had to cause temporary blindness!
Always amazed by a Manzino.
Hi Dave,
Thanks for the nice words..
The rings were all hand done. They have around 90 inlaid silver dots in the rings.. Thats can give you temporary insanity also..
Best,
Ken

Hey Ken,,
I love that cue when i seen it at the ICCS ,,these pics dont do it justice,,,

Best of luck with it,,

I will most likely bring "Evolution" with my other Manzino's to Valley Forge, to display in my booth.
A personal experience is needed to appreciate Bob's work.

Totally amazing!

Wow, thank you for the updated pictures! This cue is absolutely amazing and I can only imagine it will be even more crazy to see it up close.

This is one of the cues that make me think about selling of my whole collection to buy it - that does not happen too often at all ...

Totally love the unconventional style and the use of copper in the cue!
