I don't understand you're reasoning behind posting this here. Are you suggesting that your understanding of this situation somehow makes Ernesto and Oscar unable to assist in setting up the event in AZ.

It's the same motivation for all of his posting. Ego.

Do they assist you in all your events, or just the ones you have problems with the tables? Don't you have the people working for you that are needed to support these events?

The tournament tables and the tables that will be sold to the public are not the same. I have had or not heard of any problems w/ the ones available to the public.

How are they different? The info I got from Predator when I emailed was that they were the same other than only being available as 3 piece slate.

Never said they assisted me.

Not my event.

How could I possibly know in advance. Unfortunately, I can not see the future or read minds.

I have people who work with me in Jax. I am not completely sure what you are asking.

This is the Phoenix event, you didn't know Ernesto worked in the tables, really?

I did not say he wasn't there. Ernesto and Oscar were already a planned part of the setup.

And as stated before he fixed the problem the way he was most comfortable. I fixed it the way I was.

I'm still not understanding. I'm pretty sure I have answered your question(s) in prior post. Do I really need to reiterate?

Glen sure never misses an opportunity to bad mouth Ernesto and Oscar .
Being the OP, maybe you would like to elaborate on the reason you started this thread.

Since you are in Cali, possibly respond to Glenn's statement about Oscar's room, and why the switch to Diamonds.

I have no clue about the alleged issues at HT in Sacramento.
I do know that when Kenny, the former owner of Hard Times, Bellflower,.put a Diamond table at front, nobody would gamble on it
They preferred the old GC tables Ernesto maintained. Those even had less than 4 1/4" corners.
They finally got rid of that D.

Interesting. Is there something else you would like to be addressed in this thread?

Serious question...

Do table manufacturers hire real engineers for new designs or do they simply hire experienced cabinet makers for example?

As an engineer, that is a tricky one. In general industry it is usually as follows:

They definitely have production engineers. They probably have design engineers and test engineers.

Generally the production engineers will force compromised designs that are easier to manufacture. What you get is often not what the design team wanted.

Do any of these companies give the customer what HE wants?

OK, maybe I asked the wrong question....

Do any of these companies hire marketing experts or do they do what most pool businesses do and just wing it?

REAL TALK> Engineers need to work IN THE FIELD and ON THE ACTUAL PRODUCT!! So many areas of our life become difficult and most manufacturers worry more about $$$ in manufacturing and less about the product working properly and no on usually gives a crap about the guys installing or servicing any type of equipment.

I appreciate what Bill and Eric at the Billiard Factory in Jacksonville and all of the other mechanics, are doing for Predator.

Our industry needs change... I saw a picture of Greg Sullivan and his hillbilly posse at Derby this year: JUST PUTTING THIS OUT THERE, KARIM AND THE PREDATOR CREW GOT YOU BEAT OLD DOG, RETIRE...... YOU ALL ARE OLD AND TIRED LOOKING>

Diamond has the worst 3 piece- slate in the business, just because you can bend it, plate it and drill it. Still don't make it FLAT on its own or RIGHT. For how much more time it takes and that its not flat: its just wrong and always costs me time and money on 3 piece slate tables. NO MORE EVER.
