It always puzzles me when somebody just disappears for awhile.

I was wondering where FTGOKIE went - Shawn, who was a real character and a prolific poster. He ran that whole cue test program and was going to start his own pool room.

So I shot him a PM and no response. His last post was November 8, 2010, trying to trade a time share.

Sometimes people like Watchez take a break for personal reasons.

FanknCali was another excellent poster and a good player - I shot him an email and no response. Just seems to have dropped off the planet in September 2010.

Sweet Marissa is gone as of November - not too long.

Who else has disappeared. Who else do you miss?

Hey Chris, last I heard Shawn ( FTGOKIE ) was opening up a pool room, now I can tell you from personal experience in the beginning it can take a great deal of time.

chin0 was here for awhile and disappeared, a college student in KC I think. And then there was Tramp Steamer, even though he said "so long" I miss his humor.

ShootingArts (Hu) still checks in now and then but is definitely taking a break. In my opinion he is an amazing character and story teller.

There are many if you stop and think about it. I can see myself taking some time off someday.....maybe.

Yes, it's kind of sad when you go back and read an old thread and realize how many of our old friends are gone. There seems to be so many new names these days.

Shooting Arts sent me a couple of PM's - he's burnt out on pool at the moments and is really into other stuff.

Yes! and thats great. We still PM now and then also. As much as I like to interact with others who share my interests it is a tremendous time sink. I have gained much from this place and still get a charge out of it.

We used to be able to see who was banned but I can't find the list anymore, oh well maybe its best that way.
 
Well i've had my internet bullcrap arguements on here, nothing serious. This is really the most amazing forum on any one subject i've ever seen. Really like a close family everyone comes together to help those in need.
I don't consider myself real popular on here for anyone to be helping me but i swear i think i would come here first rather than facebook and i have family on facebook lol!!

Like smorgie i never knew him but wow i can tell he was a great person. And i recently seen an old thread that i mistakenly thought was new because it was about adam smith's car accident after the derby someone had bumped it this year i never noticed until halfway through the thread the date was for 2010. But everybody came together on that one. I got teary eyed.

Im sure there a ton more examples of people coming together on here. It's really inspiring to me.

Whatever happened to TheOne? I am sure if I thought about it I could think of more, but I was thinking of theone the other day and what happened to him.

The One - Craig Riley. He was a good pool player/party animal and traveled all over. His last post was July 26, 2010. He has his own web-site and blog:

He probably got a job. That can just ruin everything.

Don't know about them, but rehashing the same topics over and over again can get old. I don't post or read the forums half as much as I used to. I'd rather be practicing than posting or reading about the best tip, case, ld shaft, table, or cue over and over again
 
GoTulane, I have pm'd him several times in the past months and emailed him.
No response at all since December, his last post was in November.
There used to be a time when a week wouldn't pass without him selling his newly acquired cue.

I actually thought about Craig Riley recently. Not that I have been active in the main forum much, but I realized that I hadn't heard his name in quite some time. Maybe it's like you said, Chris ... he got one of those j-o-b things. :)
 
When I first got started here, CreeDo was a regular poster. I just checked and he apparently made a couple of posts in January, and a couple last fall. But not much for quite a while...

Mullyman doesn't post as much as he used to, either.

I seem to recall both of them mentioning that they were going to cut back on their activity here. I always enjoyed their posts, hopefully they'll drop in again.
 
Difference between an Open Player and a Pro Player???

Fellow A Z er's, this is my first thread on the A Z Forum's and it is a very serious one, i seem to have alot of difficulty in my home City of New York in finding out the difference between an Open Player and Pro Player, i can really use your input on this, hope to hear some good responses, Thank You!!:wink:
