Personally it makes no difference to me . I would agree it would have been better to post a seperate thread discussing this cues value. In some ways I miss the days of old AZ when guys like Jimbo were around and an honest opinion was given no matter what.
Nick is always chiming in on every Scruggs or Cochran thread how the seller is asking too little and it's worth double that etc. Could this be because he has a lot of them (according to him) which I don't doubt. A huge sale on this cue could easily affect the value of his cues by 30 to 50 percent. We are talking about thousands and thousands of dollars. He has an interest in seeing this cue sell for a big number.
I know he has done many nice things for Mikes wife which should be commended but the is an upside in this for him too.
I have no idea and really since I can't see in Nick's head I wouldn't want to speculate as to his motivations. I find it interesting that when people guess as to another''s thoughts (of which I'm sure you'd admit the possibilities are endless) people always assume they are negative. Clearly the guesses people choose to make say much more about the person doing the guessing than they do about the person being guessed about.
I'm not saying that you are free to express your opinion. I'm saying (sorry if its wasn't clear) that we have an agreement here at AZ not to post negative opinions about pricing in a persons for sale threads. Seems like a good policy to me. If you have some feelings to express about what is happening with MC's cues after his death why not to it in a more appropriate spot? Think the poster is asking too much for his cue, shoot him a PM or offer or just move on to a cue that you feel is more fairly priced.
Thanks again
