Steve I did not know him but it sounds like he was a wonderful family man and trusted person in the cue world. I will certainly pitch in with a donation as your description makes it well worth it.

a sense of humor

i never send forwards but a few weeks or so ago there was one that just cracked me up and as i was going thru my list of who to forward, i could actually hear Mike chuckling in my head and so i sent it to him..

we had some spirited back and forth emails after that ...

he could make you laugh ... and these days, you always need someone like that in your life ...

it was a comforting feeling, even from 5,000 miles away, to know if i was having a bad day, i could just pick up the phone and call him and somehow, the day got better... and what is even more impressive is that he ALWAYS took the time out to chat ...

friend, artist, family-man ... for all that he was, he will be missed.

safe journey, my friend...

Steve, I will get in touch with you soon....

My thoughts and prayers go out to Mike's family. The billiards world has lost a true friend.

I´m fully schocked and still cant believe it.
I read it today at 2:00 am my time as I came home.
I never had the pleasure to meet Mike in person, but I always loved his emails. We were in contact for my new TS shaft, the last email I received from Mike is only 10 days ago and Mike was always so smart, even I only ordered a new shaft this time.

Now 6 hours later I still like paralyzed and I ask myself all the time "WHY"

All the best for Mikes family in this hard time!

This all happened 3:30 this morning.....lets keep this post up top

I just logged onto AZ Forum and i'm reading this bad news about Mike. I'm shocked to say the least and this news is a big loss to the billiard family. I've known Mike for years and I found him to be one of the best cue makers to deal with that i've ever talked to. I wish i'd known him better, but we talked numerous times on the phone and through emails and I met him and Tim at the BCA trade show one year and at the US Open a couple of years ago when him and Tim came to watch the action. I always knew that if I needed something done to one of their cues it would be done right and he always answered the phone with a friendly voice. He will be missed by all who knew him........

Definitly shocked to hear this. Mike was great and took a lot of pride in what he did. He gave me a great deal on a new cue that I couldn't refuse so he was a great salesman too!! He will be missed...

I heard the news yesterday...and I'm still in shock.

I've been up to the shop to visit with Tim and Mike on a dozen different occasions over the past two years. Each time I was there, Mike did everything he could to make me feel at home. We laughed alot, talked alot, and he was one of the guys that stayed in touch with me while I was in the sandbox this last go-around.

I cannot begin to explain how awful I feel...and how saddened I am to know that his family is going through this. Mike was...and always will be...one of the greats. He was a friend, and a wonderful man in every respect.

Donation to the cause is on the way, Steve. For anyone who is in direct contact with Mike's family...please take a second or two to extend my deepest condolences to his family.

Rest in peace, Mike. You will forever be missed.

Mark
