Mike Sigel forfeit in World 14-1 - Matchtime changed from 1 to 11...

Let's get this back on track.....

Someone who knows Charlie or someone at DP, PLEASE call and get an explanation of what happened. It's eating me up inside, I can't hack it. If someone PMs me his phone number, I'll call. I'm not scared. I wanna know.

Guess what? I do have Mike's cell number. Why would I want to call and further aggravate my friend. What story straight? I've been reading this thread since post one. There are no facts to get straight. No one posting here seems to know for absolute certain what happened! I am entitled to my opinion just as you are. I guess I'm just not one of those Sigel haters that reside at AZ. I will speak to Mike here in Rochester. He is returning home for a few days before leaving for the left coast.

I was looking forward to Siegel playing tonight, since I have plans to attend. Dman. I missed him again. I can't get there during the middle of the week.

Try sending an e-mail. If they're checking the e-mail, which most legitimate businesses do, they may respond. It's worth a try! I know I check my e-mail multiple times each day when I'm on the road. :wink:

I agree with everything you've said previously. If there's one swinging d1ck who's not messing up a match time, it's Mike Sigel.... plain and simple. I think Dragon Promotions owes the pool world an explanation of what happened, ESPECIALLY after the Corey Deuel incident. Yeah, Corey apologized, but really only for taking a swing. He had every right to go off, IMO. I smell a pattern. I wanna know why times get changed PERIOD.

I blame Mike for not making a stronger issue. If it were me, I'd walk up to the tournament desk and neither Charlie nor myself would leave until it was figured out where both parties were happy.

If you re-read the post you qouted, it says he was wearing shorts and a baseball cap. Even if he tried to play they would not let him since he would be in violation of the dress code. Also, it is stated that he showed up a few minutes before 11:00 am so that would give him about 20 minutes max to go get dressed and be back in the tournament room before he would forfeit his match.
 
by would you even ASSUME Charlie had anything to do with mikes forfeit? For all we know he wasn't even in the room when it happened, or could have been playing/warming for a match. Charlie is NOT the tournament director!

Sometimes when I go to a restaurant and there is a waiting list, they give me a square disk that lights up and vibrates when my table is ready. I think they should give each of the players one of these vibrators, oh, I mean light-up disk to let them know when to be at their match, since the times seem to change a little bit more then they should.
Fatboy, hit me up if you would want to be partners in this business-you put up the money and then I will go steal the disks from all the Outback Steakhouses in my area!

LOL! :D I have a lot of Birkies too. That's all I used to buy until I discovered Mephistos and Naots!

The best Birks are the old traditional Arizona style with suade. They stretch and mold to the size of your foot. Just like a pair of old jeans, they are comfy, comfy, comfy. I like Arizonas. They don't have the back strap and is easy-on/easy-off kind of comfort. I still have my first pair that I bought 30-plus years ago! :smile:

Sometimes I do. Depends on how cold it is. You will never catch me with the ones with the strap on the back though. Nothing is better in winter than a pair of nice wool socks and a pair of Birks.

Love to play pool in mine - the sandals or the Birkenstock shoes I have.

Some people want to know why Mike didn't just play...

He showed up in appropriate attire for play. He would have had to go back to his room and completely change. On top of that, he was pissed, and with good reason. Who here likes to play mad? So even if he had made it back in time after going back to change his clothes, he was mentally unprepared to play. He was sipping on coffee, so he must have been just waking up on top of all of this.
