Miss by a diamond, not just an exageration anymore

Awful!!

I don't ever denigrate anyone for their pool playing abilities. Some people are more gifted than others. For every guy I can beat, there's another that can beat me. But, the level of play demonstrated on this video is just awful. What is most disturbing is that they were announced as champion caliber players and had this match made and broadcast to showcase their abilities. I am embarrassed at what I watched. The industry sponsors must of have been also. The 9 "fans" in attendance would have been within their rights to ask for their money back. I know some of the best women players in the world. Shame on those who orchestrated this fiasco to mislead those that don't know any better into believing that these women are top shelf talent.

I'm not normally that brutal with my honesty. Sometimes exceptions are necessary.

I think I actually like the Rosewood diamond tables better than the Ebony or cocobolo tables,

Is this their normal level of play?

I really don't want to comment any further, as I'd probably still need weight from them both.

Your last sentence

Let he who has never missed a ball by diamond cast the first stone! I'm not really in the habit of paraphrasing Jesus but in this particular case I'll make an exception. I sure am glad no one was there to film my worst performance, or else someone might have dislocated their jaw from laughing, but then again I do not call myself a pro either...

Your last sentence is the crux of the matter. As I said previously, it's inappropriate to belittle someone's game because of poor performance. But in this particular case, these 2 ladies were put forward as professional pool players. This event had industry sponsors participating in what proved to be a charade. Anyone who watched that stream, who did t know any better, believes that their abilities are representative to how pro pool players can play. If I was really cynical I'd say that those responsible were pulling a con job. The folks at accu stats, dragon promotions, NYC grind and sand castle billiards all know what top level pool looks like. That wasn't it.

The main thing to understand here is that
...they are major HOTTIES!

You can't expect to get an anymore scientific explanation than that.
Case closed.

That wasnt it nails it, lol !!

I watched from 23 mins to 40 mins. At least that Barona made some balls, her speed was off and that killed her.
The other one played like she dropped a lude or two before the match, lol.

Every match Shanelle plays in that I have seen, she looses by a LOT, even against B players like most of the other women. I don't remember exactly what tournament or if it was Shanelle or Emily Duddy, I think it was in Asia, I think she lost 9-0 or 11-0 when she played a good player.

I had this match in another thread about matches taking a long time (these girls spend as much per ball as some men pros take for a full rack), but this shot WAS SO BAD I had to post it separately. Of the few balls Shanelle actually made, I swear 50% were by accident. Including this miss which banked across LOL

She had ball in hand and still plays safe. She then has the 3 straight in the side with the 4 laying good and she tries to play safe again and leaves her straight in. I would rate her as a C or D player from what I've seen.

I dont think she missed by a diamond at all, she played that shot perfectly. The way I see it is that she had to bank the 2 for posistion on the 3.:rotflmao1:

It looked like she was trying to play safe and leave the cue ball behind the 9, 2 up table.

There was no need to play a safe then and where she is looking, she's looking at the ball to the pocket.

Of course with her other shot choices who knows. I don't think she'd know the bank safety shot to try it hehe.

I'm not sure why anything negative needs to be said about Shanelle. She is a very nice sweet girl in person. She is *very* attractive. She plays pool better than lots of people. I don't remember ever hearing her make any claims about her game, that she is better than anyone, etc. So I don't know where the negativity comes from. My friend Katie actually played her in the Super Billiards Expo women's amateur open. Katie won convincingly, and Shanelle, though clearly unhappy, was very nice and friendly about the whole thing. Also, fwiw, Borana has improved her game quite a lot over the years.

I don't know...I mean, am I wrong or isn't it a nice benefit for everyone to have girls playing pool, especially smoking hot ones? I don't know why they get so much crap. For me, I want as many girls (especially ones that look like these two), to eagerly want to play pool and show their...qualities...ahem...at the pool table.

So maybe we could offer more support and encouragement and less criticism and condemnation?

Bingo... If you want to watch world class women's pool, then youtube Allison Fisher and Ga Young Kim.

Otherwise, enjoy the fact that two good looking women with fake cans are showing them off while playing pool. Who gives a crap if they're shooting the lights out?
