Teachers is a very nice pool room. Plenty of seating and good food! Every table there was just recovered using 860 Simonis! 17 Valley bar tables and 4 Gold Crown 3's!

Bump. Getting close to the date. Entries must be postmarked no later than November 2, 2009. Great tournament. Good food. Good people.

Hope to see you there.

Explain the flight choice please. Does this mean flighted according to skill level? As long as I have my entry postmarked by 11-2 I'm OK right?

You can choose to play Friday night, Saturday day, or Saturday night (depending on availability). The tournament is broken up into 10 flights of 8 players and they play round robin in their respective flights (7 matches). The top 2 of each flight makes it into Sunday and 1/2 of the top 3 finishers in the flight will make it to Sunday as wildcards (goes by total games won divided by games played) this percentage decides the wildcards, if I'm not mistaken.

Klockdoc,

Do you know how many players they have signed up? and if they are going to mail out or contact the players about confirmation of the flight times?

Thanks,

Darryl

Due to a date posting error. We have extended the deadline to Wed Nov 4th at midnight. Any entries can be paid on location or over the phone. Hoping to fill up.

Thanks,
Paige

does living in a super 8 in o'fallon count as being a state resident? :D If not i'll be out anyways hopefully meet some new peeps and hit some on the gc's.

64 players signed up. Nice even number for the round robin flights.

I'll be playing Friday night, I like bar tables - you don't have to try to draw your ball too much.

Player Auction Sunday morning for the Top 25. Unlike Phil S., we like action in St Charles.

Mountain Man finishes 4th

AJ Clemens hit the board in the tourny and the auction, barely. Watches has some candy money left for him at Teacher's.

AJ made the final 12 in fine fashion going 2-2 in his flight and qualifying by games won. His first match was against Rich Sager who after being tied at 1-1 broke and ran 4 racks to put AJ in the losers bracket.

AJ then beat Kevin Gabriel, Paul Hopfer and Dustin Dunham before running into the buzzsaw Chuck Raulston. It was a battle the first two games then Chuck put a 4 on AJ and his tourny was over.

When we left at 2 a.m. Andy Quinn was in the hot seat.
Ralston was playing Arizona Jay Pettlon to see who got to play Andy.

Wooford and Dunham 5th and 6th
Clemens 4th
Suspect Ralston will prevail over Pettlon?
Suspect Ralston will NOT double dip Andy Quinn?
Hell they might split it, very top heavy tourny.

Well run, it just ran on forever.

thanks for the reply. was curious how Dustin came out. Have known the kid for years. Quinn sounds like he's hittin them pretty good again. Always a good thing.
